I still believe that's fair for the guys not drafted highly. Personally, I expect a lot more out of my first round picks. That also was at a time when the emphasis was on the running game and the league wasn't designed around prolific passing attacks. When Robby Freaking Anderson (NYJ) has 83 receptions, 1,301 yards, 9 TDs in 18 starts on bad Jets teams as an undrafted free agent, I'm sorry, but Corey Coleman is a mega-bust given that perspective.
Also, I'm not advocating cutting Coleman or anything like that. We can re-evaluate him at season end and beyond and he can get that "bust" label removed if he turns things around. Put another way: would you consider drafting a wide receiver in the first round of 2018? To me, if that answer is "yes", then you've determined that Coleman doesn't have what it's going to take to elevate the team and passing game. Coleman began his career with 7 receptions, 173 yards, and 2 touchdowns in two games. Since then, 41 receptions, 446 yards, and 2 touchdowns in 13 games.
Interesting discussion about Coleman being bust or not. Personally, it's easier for me to say the whole damn team is a bust. From ownership down to the team bus driver...they all suck canal water. One exception I'll make is, of course, Joe Thomas. A sure fire first ballot Hall of Fame player who will never have a chance to sniff at a playoff game. See you Sunday. Rok
With that notion, almost every WR and QB is a bust cause Antonio Brown and Tom Brady were 6th round draft choices and both are the best at their position and not just one yr
#DoYouEvenFootballBro Seriously... this is my new .gif for anything you post: "Almost" every WR. Here's the PFF.com Top 10: 1 - Antonio Brown / 6th round / not immediately dominant 2 - Julio Jones / 1st round / immediately dominant 3 - DeAndre Hopkins / 1st round / immediately dominant 4 - Keenan Allen / 3rd round / immediately dominant 5 - A.J. Green / 1st round / immediately dominant 6 - Adam Thielen / undrafted / not immediately dominant 7 - Doug Baldwin / undrafted / immediately dominant 8 - Michael Thomas / 2nd round / immediately dominant 9 - Golden Tate / 2nd round / not immediately dominant 10 - DeSean Jackson / 2nd round / immediately dominant So, per my position: If you're a first rounder you ought to be dominant immediately. The first round picks in the Top 10 were all immediately dominant. If you're not a first rounder, you have time to develop. The non-first rounders who weren't immediately dominant but are now were allowed that time. If you're not a first rounder, but you are immediately dominant, you're a great pick.
Please show me where you said immediate impact? Its ok if you admit you are wrong...we still like you
I'm certainly not ready to give up on Corey Coleman. Obviously his stats aren't going to be great. He has barely played...He did have 6 grabs for 80 yards against the tough Jags D, which is good for anybody... I will agree he's a bust so far based on where he was picked in the draft. Clearly more is expected from the first WR off the board. Slow start but, I do believe in his talent.
Cleveland Browns Fan Secures Permit for 0-16 Parade Around FirstEnergy Stadium The Cleveland Browns remain winless through 12 weeks, and one fan plans to make the best of a bad situation with a celebration. Chris McNeil has already filed paperwork with city officials to hold a parade around FirstEnergy Stadium between noon and 2 p.m. ET on January 6: The Browns have lost four games by a three-point margin. They just need the football to bounce in their favor a few times to avoid the ultimate embarrassment: an 0-16 season. Among the five games left on the schedule, Cleveland will have a legitimate chance to win at home in Week 14 against the Green Bay Packers with quarterback Brett Hundley under center, as well as on the road against the Chicago Bears in Week 16. The Detroit Lions went down in the record books as the most recent winless team during the 2008 campaign. The organization cleaned house and clinched a playoff berth three years later.
NO DAMN PARADE I will not embrace the suck . and cut Louis .there is no hope for hands of stone ..talking about WR .
