Wes Goodman, a stauch, hard-line, anti-LGBTQ republican (Ohio)... caught in his office having sex... ... ... with a man, has resigned. He has a slew of (30-ish) accusations. A couple of days ago, there was another state (OK) pol, who was again, an anti-LGBTQ, and he was caught in a motel room... ... with a 17-yr old male prostitute. Its like in Hamlet, "She doth protest too much". The REALLY hard-line "anti-Queer" folks ... are they hiding something?

Riddle me this why in 2014 when Kesha sued to be free of her contract from Dr Luke claiming sexually, physically, verbally, and emotionally abuse did it not explode in the same way that this current explosion has happened. Did the world not believe her or was it the fact that several others did not pour out of the woodwork on him.
no idea Jean. I guess it took more than 1 accusations for people to open their eyes and/ or feel confident enough to come out of the woods themselves with their own accusations etc. much like the harvey weinstein accusers. once one came forward, the floodgates were open.
Your last sentence is a compelling question. Maybe both. Weinstein certainly broke the dam. If Kesha's complaint was followed up by a flash flood of similar reports, that may have been the tipping point. But with Harvey Weinstein, an obvious serial sexual predator, had harmed and impacted so many over the course of decades, every shark within 5 miles showed up to feast on that gnarly carcass. Realistically, the media should've been on the Kesha ordeal from the get-go. Dr Luke was famous, but he was no GIANT like the Hollywood people (Weinstein/Spacey). Her credibility was questioned from the onset for making allegations she already swore did not happen. In a video deposition recorded back in 2011, Kesha stated under oath that Lukasz Gottwald (Dr Luke) never gave her roofies (drugs) nor engaged with her in a sexual way. And there's this... "Given that her most recent amended lawsuit was rejected by New York Supreme Court Justice Shirley Kornreich in March."
