UCLA hires Chip Kelly After failing twice in the NFL, Chip Kelly is giving college football a second chance. Kelly, the former Eagles and 49ers head coach, has been hired as the new coach at UCLA. Kelly replaces another two-time NFL failure, Jim Mora, who was fired this week. By taking the UCLA job, Kelly returns to the Pac-12 conference, where he had a great deal of success as the head coach at Oregon. Although Kelly didn’t do well in the NFL, there’s every reason to think he can do well as the coach of the Bruins. Kelly’s first priority will likely be trying to persuade star quarterback Josh Rosen to stay in school rather than enter the 2018 NFL draft. Kelly’s NFL experience could be appealing to Rosen, as he’ll want a coach who can help him develop for the pro game. Then again, Kelly’s NFL failures could make Rosen think he’d be better off leaving. At the college level, Kelly was known as one of the nation’s most innovative coaches. In the NFL, his offense showed promise at first, but once opposing defensive coordinators had some time to game plan for his fast pace, he largely failed. We’ll see whether he can do it at the college level again. His days coaching in the NFL are likely done.
Are you high or do you just over analyze things too much. The CFP will not put a 1 loss ACC champion team thst hasn't done shat in years in over a 1 loss defending champion Bama team. The Miami loss means they are dead. As they should be. PS Clemson smokes them anyway.
1. I am not high. 2. yes they will and the previous years don't matter, although there is some bias. 3. Bama did not win last year. Clemson did. You aren't analyzing anything at all. Also Alabama is dead in the water with a loss today. Their best wins will be LSU and MSU and they weren't dominating them like usual Alabama teams dominate opponents.
1. you should be if you think the fraudacanes have a chance. 2. Only if its Clemson. Follow the money 3. Whatever, its like the Pats. Follow the money again. 4. I anal eyes everything
Miami will probably lose to Clemson, but they did destroy Notre Dame. Things could get interesting if Alabama loses in the SEC Title Game but the ND and Clemson wins along with the title are likely enough.
ND needs a lot of help to sneak in. It will help if USC wins and is compared to be better than Ohio State's resume. But Notre Dame beat them. Notre Dame's best hope is if USC, Georgia, Miami, Ohio State and TCU all win their conferences. But that wasn't my point. Canes have a great win vs Notre Dame in rank, record and score. It will help Miami quite a bit, especially if they don't lose to Stanford, which is very possible. This is the most chaotic season in college football ever, even if the top 2 teams if it was the BCS era would still have 0-1 losses.
