I cant argue or knock what you wrote, Joe, I like the case you made. I still, in my opinion, think Miami was given too much cred for the beat down of ND. Miami is still a playoff team in my opinion also, so its just a matter of seeding. Wisconsin is like the Rodney Dangerfield of the NCAA this season too.
Miami only played 2 ranked teams all year and both at home. The rest of their schedule is very soft. we shall see what they do vs Clemson !
Teams have been hiding out in the ACC for years. First, Miami, then FSU and now Clemson. Rarely has the ACC fielded more than one power team.
However, usually that team is a serious championship contender. Not sure if Miami is that this year, my money would still be on Clemson coming out of there. If Wisky wins the B10 with no more than 1 loss they should be in.
Agreed. My point was that whoever won the ACC didn't have to face a schedule like teams that played in the SEC, PAC12 or BIG10 (as of late) did. They could virtually coast to a conference championship.
Fair but if the selection day was today I can't see how Clemson could be rewarded ahead of Miami and Oklahoma. The case I made for Oklahoma ahead of Clemson is bulletproof but the committee is stupid.
ND is still in contention. They need a Michigan win this week to stay alive. Likely an Alabama win too. And of course they need to win themselves.
Essentially all that will happen is that teams will jump them in the pecking order. If they beat Clemson their worst case scenario is 4th place with Alabama breathing down their neck with 1 loss at #5. Heck, they could still possibly get a #1 or 2 seed if at least 2 of TCU, Auburn and Ohio State or a 1-loss Wisconsin win their conference.
Michigan scores first, 7-0 over the Buckeyes. O'Corn missed wide open receivers, but eventually got the job done. Buckeyes defense playing a 'cover 0'.
If Ohio State wins this will be their first ever time overcoming a 14+ point deficit to Michigan and win.
