I gotta admit, Pat Shurmur has done a nice job with Case Keenum and the Vikings. He flopped with the Browns and Rams, and I've been on his case ever since, but he has scrapped his conservative (boring) offense, and Minnesota is looking good. His gameplan yesterday was just outstanding. Creative play-calling all afternoon. We got none of that when he was here...Keenum is playing great, and the Vikings look like a serious contender. Just another soon to be F/A quarterback, Case Keenum has certainly put himself on the map...The way he is playing I doubt Minnesota will let him get away, but all three of the Viking QB's (Bradford, Keenum, Bridgewater) are due to hit free agency this year...So that will be an interesting situation to keep an eye on...
Is this the week? We're missig a very big piece of the run D, but playing the Dalton's gives me hope. AJ Green scares me, but beyond that the scariest component is our own QB.. Do we get Jekl or Hyde? I am anxious to see if Coleman comes back with another good game or if it's always going to be an up and down, roller coaster ride with him. I hope the Duke talk isn't just that, I am hoping to see Dalton pressured into making some errant throws, and our D backs getting their hands on them. '' BTW what has become of the TEs. I thought we had a couple of fairly good ones, but they seem to have dissapeared. Whats up with that. Is it Kizer's lack of experience? Normally young QBs look to the TE position for bail outs. Thats not hapeining in Cleveland. Kizer is our man, like it or not, so Go Kizer and Go Browns
Nearly got Kizer killed there. Near-sack. Almost got Kessler killed. Sack. Probably got Kizer the almost-concussion. Gordon needs to be awesome upon return so we can trade up into he first and get Connor Williams.
16 yards is suboptimal. Fortunately, he’s back and we didn’t have to see the Kessler Experiment at holder.
The way Kizer handled that two minute drill makes me think we need to execute every drive like that. No huddle, simple reads, quick calls in from the sidelines. You know, stuff you’d expect an NFL coordinator to do for his rookie QB.
@SAS can you give me the stats on Alex Smith and Kareem Hunt again....you were awfully loud after a few weeks
Yeah, turns out it wasn’t true. Tweet someone posted about the Chiefs’ staff getting ready to turn to Mahomes down the stretch.
What happened to... I guess it must have been that Alex Smith was second in completion percentage and QB rating in the NFL? Despite being 10th in attempted passes? Or that Hunt was second in the NFL in terms of rushing yards, second in overall yards from scrimmage, and fifth in yards-per-attempt? How’s Dalvin’s knee?
Thats my whole point...you were saying he was the best QB in the league when we all know damn well there are bout 6-8 better than him if not more...now he may b losing his job....Dalvin is rehabbing and will be a beast next yr....just workout and get stronger and faster
