What happens when you give a guy a 5year timeframe. Pace is a buffoon.

Wheaton wasn't on the field for them..... he was on for Inman. Which only makes it worse. Loggains basically had all of his best receiving options on the bench for that drive smh.

Neither was Howard. I guess that’s John Faux’s idea of taking the training wheels off of Trubisky.

Then is his post-game presser when asked why Howard, Shaheen and Cohen weren’t on the field Faux said “They’re not experienced in the 2-minute drill.”

    Let that sink in.

Bears are 3-13 (18.75 winning %) against the NFC North in the John Fox era.

Bears are 9-17 (34.6 winning %) against non-NFC North opponents in the John Fox era.

No reason to put weapons out there to try and win the game when you can just play for the potential of a missed FG to tie it.

    Fox is a fucking idiot.

Uh huh, then why wasn't fucking Glennon in too? Trubs doesn't have any 2 minute drill experience. And how the fuck are they going to get it, sitting on the bench?

How does that explain Inman on the sidelines?

And I can't echo blang enough on Cohen taking the ball out of the endzone. He really thinks he's going to break one, only he never has, and has only maybe once gotten past the fucking 25. He shouldn't be our returner anymore, unless dipshit special teams coach is telling him to take it out 5 yards deep in the endzone.

I knew there was zero chance he makes the kick when he threw up grass like he was on a golf course and it was blowing right to left .... and what does he do he's widdddddeeeeeeee right .

This is all on Pace / Fox he was bad last year and he's still bad this year .

Just some post day thoughts after some time to digest.

    1) For those among us jaded that Mitch Trubisky is in this coaching staff's hands, John Fox and Frodo Loggains being in their "respective positions," Mitch has made progress as a rookie. There's still some dumbass plays, like the botched snap and missed reads, but that's the point of being a rookie. I'm more encouraged by him every week, even when Frodo is calling a bad game.

    2) As we bickered about last week, Kyle Fuller showed again why I think he should be replaced. He can't make an open field tackle. And he also hurt his own teammate......who happens to be one of the team's few playmakers.

    3) After Leonard Floyd's injury, we're now going to see Acho and McPhee starting edges? Ho boy......

Do I even want to know what "depth" is left?

    4) Hey, a Tarik Cohen sighting! So that's what happens when you involve one of your few offensive playmakers.....

    5) Adam Shaheen too. And the sad part is that we needed a career ending injury and an illness that John Fox wont discuss to see him in a game as a starter in 2017. The 2nd round draft pick, everybody!

    6) Just for fun--and I know I'm kind of a dick for wanting to see this: I want Fox to send his DBs after Alshon Jeffery's legs. It was well reported that Fox and Jeffery never got along, and Fox always thought Jeffery could play when he sat out with his sore hamstring or whatever smaller, lower body extremity he had during his time here. Or at least play through the pain, but Alshon sat out.

I'm sure Jeffery has this game marked. And I'd prefer if one of the best QBs and his big target don't light up this defense for a stat stuffing day that will bring out the dumbest among the meatballs and revisionist historians. I'd like there to not be a target, make use of Fuller and just go at the back of his legs. I'm just curious, I get the bears have moved on; but I do wonder if Jeffery--who didn't want to be here, was faking to rest himself for his FA gamble contract this year, or if he's truly made of glass and the move by Pace to not pay him like a Demaryius Thomas just so he'd be a bear was a smart one.

    7) Its 11:38 AM on Monday. Why is Connor Barth still on the 53 man?

Don't care, we're still giving you the credit for it.

The team motto shouldn't be Bear Down, it should be Day Late, Dollar Short.

There's good news and bad news.

The good news is Fox said they don't think Floyd tore his ACL. The bad news is Fox said he could miss some time........ which in reality means Floyd could be out longer than he would if he'd tore the ACL.

Uhhh, what kind of news is this dandy? Via @AaronLemingnfl Twitter today:

As I said on the Bear Report podcast that’ll be put out later today- I’ve been told that Ryan Pace was indeed the decision maker wanting to keep Barth. Also sounds like there were quite a few disagreements over this the past few weeks between Pace & Fox. #Bears

    (2/2)

Sounds like Pace & Fox have been at odds over a few different decisions, including Barth & Trubisky (earlier in the year). #Bears

For those of use who believe Fox to be the idiot of this GM/HC marriage, this isn't good.

  16. dlinebass5 M.V.P. Bears

If indeed this is substantiated, at all, and has validity:

Best case scenario, the people running the Chicago Bears don't agree and are pointing fingers at one another, with no one really wanting to have taken responsibility for Barth. Maybe that means that no one was dumb enough to defend Barth, but no one was proactive enough to remove him, and now it's the blame game.

I have made my feelings on Pace known, before. I have no doubts he may have wanted him kept around, if only because I have yet to understand Pace's decision making or direction. Kickers are not integral enough to the team's proceedings that a head coach will defend a faltering one, barring a closer relationship/more important presence. As far as Fox is concerned, I'm sure he's just a guy missing kicks, not a guy worth defending.
