With Jay Ajayi being dealt to the Eagles the coffin nail is set in the wood for Adam Gase in Miami. All it might take is for Jay to play well in Philly and Gase might see that nail driven home.
Miami is starting to trend the wrong direction faster than a lot of teams that had a head start to the bottom were.
And to think, at the time, Adam Gase was THEE hot candidate for virtually every head coaching vacancy in the NFL.
but it's another weapon on the field to cover. who do you cover ? johnson? jeffrey? smith? aghular? ertz? celek? that's a lot to ask for a secondary every play. and the eagles just traded for ajayi too. i like the idea of more weapons.
Smith is a nice #3 outside WR. So a #4 in a league that utilities the slot as a starter more and more. But he isn't doing much to keep guys off Alshon Jeffery.
The league is pretty scummy in scheduling the Josh Gordon reinstatement meeting for the day after the trade deadline. They just don't like the guy. More like they love their strong-arming.
hey Joe-funny the Eagles are 7-1 and no word on them rushing back their injured draft pick - Sidney Jones in november now...? funny how that all works out ?
These go hand in hand..the compensation would have been extremely minimal and they could trade for his rights regardless. Being re-instated would not have driven the price of a trade up...
The Ravens almost feel like a playoff lock now. Seems at worst they will be 9-7 with a 8-4 conference record. In the AFC that is lock territory. Likely it's vs the Jags or Titans in the 3 vs 6 game. Maybe KC.
They were figured out almost a month ago. At this point they are done even if they fix things. I can see 9-7 for the Bills at best and now the Ravens got them.
This is definitely one of those seasons that I don't see anyone coming out from the lower seeds to go to the Super Bowl. In the AFC at least. In the NFC 12-4 might have you playing in the wild card round.
Has there ever been such a bad Thanksgiving night matchup before as the Giants vs Redskins? Also, they are never going to have the Patriots play the Chiefs or Redskins on Thanksgiving are they?
