The Browns committed 4 turnovers (3 from Kizer) and still were in the game until the end. Talent on this team - outside of QB - is NFL-caliber.
I knew this season was going to be frustrating . ZERO Offensive improvement at this point in the season is what pisses me off .
Without a doubt. At the point we need to bench Kizer. Not the option going forward and team desperately needs win for morale.
Makes no impact plays...sorry for the #1 pick has 4 tackles in last 2 games and no sacks isnt impactful...on the other side a 2nd yr player named Ngakoue had 2.5 sacks and a strip fumble TD Jags Def...
If Myles got to go against Kizer in a game, he’d have 11.5 sacks, 3 forced fumbles, 2 INTs (1 returned for TD) and that’s in the first half before he’s benched
Once upon a time, there was a season when neither Ohio State nor Michigan made a post-season bowl game. It seemed so unusual that the teams figured there should be some sort of competition anyway. So they got together and decided on a week-long ice-fishing competition. ... On the first day, Ohio State caught 100 fish and Michigan caught none. On the second day, Ohio State had caught 200 fish and Michigan still had zero. The Michigan coach, suspecting cheating, dressed one of his players in scarlet and gray and sent him to the Ohio State camp to act as a spy. At the end of the day, the player came back to the report. "Are they cheating?" asked the coach. "They sure are," the player said. "They're cutting holes in the ice!"
Do you want to be reminded of that last statement when the WRs continue to come up snake eyes, and / or the DBs get toasted?
BEREA, Ohio -- Hue Jackson was asked if the Browns rebuilding plan is working, despite a 1-25 record in the first year and a half. “I really don’t want to get into that," Jackson said on Monday. "I think you guys are the best judges on that. Everybody speculates on that. This is what I want to do. I want to coach our football team to get better. It is my job to do everything I can to help these players and these coaches be the best they can be. "Obviously, with a 1-25 record or whatever it is, it has not been pretty good," he said. "That is where I am going to continue to put my focus and continue to coach this team and try to get this team as good as we can get it because we are just not there yet.” When asked a follow up question about his response, Jackson said: “The plan that is in place, let me say this, my job is not to say whether it is or is not," he said. "My job is to coach this football team. That is what I was hired here to do. I was not hired with a plan. I was hired to coach this team and get them the best I can get them to be. That is what I want to concentrate on. I am going to coach this football team and get this football team to be the best they can be. "I am not interested in talking about a plan," he said. "I do not want to talk about a plan. I want to talk about our football team and coaching this team and getting them better. That is my attitude. I am not going to change. I am going to tell you the same things. I am not mad at you. I am not mad at anyone in the room. I am just not talking about a plan. I am talking about coaching our team. That is all I want to do.” Jackson said he never envisioned having the type of record that he has in his first two seasons. “Look, I am not running from this," he said. "It is part of my arrival and it pisses me off. I will be the first to tell you that. I never envisioned this in my life being 1-25 as a head football coach. I don’t wish this on anybody. It is not what I want it to be. It is not what the players want it to be. It is not what Dee and Jimmy (Haslam) want it to be. "It is not what anybody wants it to be," he said. "We have earned this. I am going to say it again: whatever record we have, we have earned in this organization. The only thing we can do is do everything in our power to change it. That is what we have to do.” Jackson thinks the Haslam's are still supportive of the plan--at least for now. “Yeah. I think they do until they tell you otherwise," he said. "This is where we are. It is painful. I am sure it is painful for them. I am not trying to answer for them. I think it is painful for all involved. At the same time, this is where we are. We are in it. Like I said, there are no new players coming in. There are no new people coming in. This is where we are and we have to fight our way out. That is what it is.” Jackson said he doesn't discuss the plan with the players. “They do not ask me that," he said. "They ask me ‘What do we have to do to win, Coach?’ That is it. I do everything for those guys. That is what I am here to do – coach this football team, coach these coaches to be the best we can be." Jackson said the media--of all people--can judge the plan. “You guys can," he said. "I get it. Guys, things are not great – let’s be honest – when it is one (win) like it is. I am not going to run from that. I am not judging the plan. I have to coach.” For all your Browns news from Berea follow @FredGreetham on Twitter
I'm somewhat with you on this, TD. However, he has raised a flag with NFL owners and GMs that will be addressed during the interview sessions any team thinking of drafting him will have with Mayfield. My personal view is that OU is only in the CFP picture because of the win in Columbus. It was a great win for the school, but in what I consider a weak Big 12, the Sooners have fallen back to earth. They still haven't been against a good team with a good defense because there aren't any teams in the Big 12 with a good defense. I can't remember when there were strong defenses in the conference. If they make the playoffs I believe it will be a long day for Mayfield and the Sooners, no matter which team they face. Just my opinion. Rok
Well Mayfield doesn't do himself any favors, but I still think he's going to be a very good NFL QB, and I believe in his contrition...He just needs to reel it in a little. Passion is great, but you gotta keep your wits...He's gotta know every NFL GM is watching.
Maybe . there are no sure things . the one thing I don't want is another little weasel acting a fool . lets see how Mayfield does the rest of the season and bowl game . lets see if he can not screw up this offseason . I like his passion as well . I do like him . Manziel I hated before he left college .
HAPPY TURKEY DAY DPL . ENJOY the day .if you travel be safe . Gooo Browns ..quit setting records for all the wrong reasons .
