u dog-how's that going for you? i drink 1 soda at work a day for lunch and im trying to give that up and it's a bitch. i drink so much water all day and night long, i need a break from it. i know soda is bad for me and the sugar is added weight gain, but i need something besides water! the movie is a favorite of mine and the height of Kevin' Smith's comic genius - Bluntman and Chronic! Clerks was ok but not as funny as Chasing Amy or even Mallrats.
It's going better than I thought it would honestly, I figured I'd've gone back to the soda by now, but I've done OK drinking mostly water (occasionally a beer lol, though I know that's not an option for you), I haven't weighed myself but I can tell the Dunlop is a little smaller already and I'm saving a little money in the process...the coffee has been harder, first dealing with the caffeine withdrawals, and then the fact that it's just omnipresent in my office every day. 3 in the afternoon rolls around and I know it's sitting there free for the taking and the temptation is strong, but so far I've avoided it successfully. I have substituted decaf tea if I want a hot beverage in the morning.
I don't drink soda - I might have 3, 4 cans a year. But I don't think I could give up my morning coffee.
i don't even think the soda i drink does anything for me - i just think it does i.e. caffeine boost. that's my issue. if i can quit drinking alcohol for 18 months now, why not 1 soda a damn day ? argh! the dunlop tire reference was funny!
this is a tough one - in the movie remember the titans - why does julius campbell call gerry bertier "superman?" now if you think it's at the end with the car accident and him saying "you can't be hurt, you're Superman," that's not correct. it's a much different reference near the beginning of the movie...
Try flavored seltzer. Its is water, no sugar, no caffeine, has the fizz and it tastes better than regular water.
I've tried multiple different seltzers trying to find one I like, I just can't get past the weird aftertaste. The only one I've found that was remotely tolerable is the Polar Ginger Lime Mule, and that's only a "limited edition."
No, I didn't need to lose a lot, just the "stubborn belly fat." Like I said I haven't weighed myself at all before or since I started this, but I would guess based on past history that Id been hovering around 175-178, and that I'm probably closer to 170 now, ultimately I'd like to get down closer to 160, hopefully this will help.
Make sure you still check the ingredients on those flavored seltzers, though...some of them do have aspartame.
It was in the scene when they fight in the dorm room about taking down the Black Power poster and Julius tells him to use his Xray vision to look through the wall instead.
that is correct ! well done. he says "you better use your x-ray vision Superman bc it's not coming down!
LOVE seltzer/club soda. Drink it all the time. Have to watch, though - I think some brands of flavored seltzer DO have sugar or some artificial sweetener. But if you get plain seltzer, just add a wedge of a lime or lemon (or both).
ok back to the trivia -- in the original Superman with C. Reeves, his dumb lackey Otis wants all of Southern California for himself after Luthor's plan to split the state from the US. His "a little biddy place" was called what ?
in the movie - A FEW GOOD MEN - when a drunk Tom Cruise berates Demi Moore - he tells he his character is going to a school ? He first says Ft. Leavenworth, but then says a school. What school does he mockingly say to her ?
it was typewriter maintenance and the Rocko Club for Woman! Well so it wasn't a school, but it was something derogatory.
new one -- what was the crappy Christmas gift Clark W. Griswald's boss gives him in Christmas Vacation and he portrayed his boss in the movie ??
