YEP-that one has been one for 2 weeks. it's that bad so whether Reynolds wants better scripts or is given them, i think most of them stink, regardless of his range. Look at Robert Deniro. A dramatic actor, yet funny as hell in Meet the Parents and Dirty Grandpa. Reynolds has done a ton of comedy, but i think he could pull off a dramatic role like Gosling did in La La Land and the movie where he's a teacher but a drug addict.

although it was a role anyone could do - Reynolds was good in Smokin' Aces as the FBI Agent. The funniest thing is, in that trio of skinhead brothers that were killers, one is a young Chris Pine, who is now famous for many roles, including Captain James T. Kirk in the Star Trek reboot !

Logan Lucky-what looks to be a dumb movie was actually quite surprising and a solid flick. great ensemble cast too. way better than i thought. A+!

made in america - tom cruise really tries to make this film work. he does well for the most part. kind of confusing with all the crap he was doing for his CIA Operative. i really doubt he made as much money as they shown in the movie. i mean opening a shed door and a pile of money falls on you ? crazy. still solid. i didn't know the fate of the real guy he portrays till i saw the movie. didn't see that one coming.

happy death day - wow. got dragged to see this dud of a film. so a college girl relives her birthday over and over again bc she dies every night in the same day buy a person in a stupid baby mask that is the mascot of her college. she has to try to figure out who is killing her and finally stop it. i thought she kept dreaming each sequence, she wasn't. she was reliving the same day over and over again. like groundhog day for a murder! omg. it was so dumb. and seeing the same sequences as she kept reliving the same day over and over again got played out quick. i wish someone would've killed me so i didn't have to watch it. Live by Night. What a shame - great cast, great source material (novel by Dennis Lehane), really hum-drum movie. Could'a been so much more.

the beguiled. yikes. once again sofia coppala proves what an overrated hack she is. first her overrated "lost in translation," and now this. decent premise but how do you love someone you barely know and then sleep with someone else? and then the decision from the younger ones to get rid of him? yikes. talk about some psychopaths. you see a house full of women - run the other way!

I just saw The Foreigner the other day. It was alright because of Pierce Bronson but it really has no substance.

Spoiler below. If you plan to watch it don't view it.
All Jackie Chan does is publicly implicate Pierce Brosnan with a photo after everything is already over. More unnecessary than Indiana Jones in Raiders of the Lost Ark.

^^Joe I don't get your spoiler and the Raiders of the lost Ark comment ?

If Jackie Chan did nothing then the the whole thing would have been solved anyways since the British government found and was about to ambush the terrorists without any involvement from him. In Raiders of the Lost Ark Indiana Jones didn't need to really do anything as the Nazis would have died as soon as they opened it anyways with or without him.

The Snowman- trailer looked awesome. Movie is based on a character that has 7 books as a series featuring him. Plot was
great and then became confusing and then the ending was typical and cliche as all hell. really disappointing. 2 things - if there is that much snow in Norway in November, I'm never going there. And Val Kilmer is in the movie and looks terrible. He had throat cancer and his voice is all scratchy. He sounded awful. He looked all thin and strung out.

1974-Murder on the Orient Express. With the remake coming out Friday, I wanted to watch the original. i saw it years ago and forgot it. i don't think it's that great. albert finney was so over the top bad. and the plot, which is great, is ruined by a cheesy ending. and how the hell did Ingrid Bergman win her third Oscar for her role? She's barely even in the movie?? Baffling.

That version of Murder was just a celebrity wank-fest. The best Hercule Poirot (detective in the story) was played by British actor David Suchet. Bergman (won Best Supporting) was on the brink of retirement, so that was just a gimme. Like getting a gold watch when you retire. In that year, Art Carney (Harry and Tonto, anybody remember that electric performance? Didn't think so) beat out Al Pacino (Godfather II) and Jack Nicholson (Chinatown) for Best Actor. Art FUCKING Carney!

well Suchet's Poiret was on tv and could do it more justice over albert finney. as much as I was a Honeymooners fan, I didn't know Carney beat out Pacino and Nicholson for an Oscar. I knew he won an Oscar, but not over both of them. I thought he won in a down year. Bergman does nothing to earn her 3rd Oscar. The Academy is so weird. It has rewarded Oscars to old-timers like George Burns, Alan Arkin and Christopher Plummer, as their roles were waning and careers probably almost over, but in other cases, old-timers were nominated, partially favored, and still didn't win. To me and being an Oscar buff, although i didn't know who Carney beat out; Bergman didn't deserve that win.

Murder on the Orient Express - remake. It was very good and better than the original. the big twist they speak of was very nice. the movie still closely resembles the original and it didn't have too. it could've been different and better. i liked it overall.

My brother and his wife saw MOTOE this weekend and gave it good reviews. I'll have to check it out.

Suchet is EASILY the best Poirot.
