The Cardinals have made a $17.4 million qualifying offer to starter Lance Lynn. The Cardinals have granted pitcher Trevor Rosenthal his unconditional release.
Teams had until 5PM yesterday afternoon to make a qualifying offer — a one-year contract at $17.4 million — to prospective free agents. Players who received a qualifying offer have until November 16 to accept or reject the offer. So, who got the qualifying offers this year? These guys: Carlos Santana, Indians Mike Moustakas, Royals Eric Hosmer, Royals Lorenzo Cain, Royals Lance Lynn, Cardinals Alex Cobb, Rays Greg Holland, Rockies Jake Arrieta, Cubs Wade Davis, Cubs
i doubt the phils offer any of these guys an offer, but would love Moustakas, Cobb and Arrieta in a Phils uniform in 2018 !
?? He was hurt in 2015 and missed 2016 with Tommy John ? He didn't get TJ again. I had him in a fantasy league and he cost me the title. http://www.12up.com/posts/5471313-l...ke-leake-trade-and-lack-of-contract-extension
The Cardinals announced on Monday that the club has granted pitcher Trevor Rosenthal his unconditional release. This comes as no surprise because Rosenthal underwent Tommy John surgery back in August and will miss the entire 2018 season as a result. Rosenthal, 27, finished the 2017 season with a 3.40 ERA and a 76/20 K/BB ratio across 47 2/3 innings. He was one of the game’s better closers in 2014-15, racking up 93 saves with a combined 2.65 ERA. Once he’s done rehabbing, Rosenthal should generate a good deal of interest (NBC)
well he was injured 2 yrs ago and had TJ in '16. I posted the article about him being mad over a lack of extension...
