You can change your lineup at anytime. The Friday thing has to do with players that are already listed as out. And it’s still a work in progress. We just needed to get something on the books to remove intentional tanking by having shit lineups.
Be careful...Those are actually allegations.. Tanking is in the eye of the beholder. If you are talking about me, I am not tanking, I am starting the players that give my team the best chance at winning each and every week. I haven't intentionally sat a player this season with the expectation that they would help me LOSE games. Unfortunately, I started this league taking a strategy of getting older players that could possibly win me an early championship and it failed. Now, I am suffering the consequences and have had to shift course and build for the future. This is no different than a real NFL team. The few players I had that might have helped me win, one maybe two extra games this year, I was approached for compensation and felt the compensation to be more than fair and I traded some older players that could have scored me a few more points a week, for young (edit: potential) stars (some who were then and currently hurt) and draft currency to help build my team right. Does that really make me a bad GM, or someone "tanking"? I personally don't think that is even close to being true...I guess that's your opinion, but if it is, I don't think you understand the premise of a Dynasty League.
I wasn't talking about anybody Irish. I haven't even looked at the lineups for anything of the sort. All I was saying is if you are trying to tank you gotta make an effort to play a decent lineup still that has a chance to bust out a win. Like if you have to start Witten or Gates that are both not for-sure starters, start the guy you think will score less. Or play your weaker player that is supposed to have a great matchup and hope it doesn't work or play your player with the worst matchup when they are pretty even players. Do it right if you are gonna try to shave some points. Give your team a chance to screw you over. Have that Amari Cooper or Paul Richardson give you the chance to screw you by busting out and not having the weaker performance you were expecting instead of playing the guy that isn't supposed to see any touches whatsoever or leaving an injured or bye player in. Those guys should only really ever play if you don't have an alternative already on the roster and don't want to drop anybody. Either way I don't see evidence of anything but trying to play your best lineup from you anyways. A few speculations gone wrong like Ricardo Lewis but that isn't tanking or even trying to shave points. And if it was well then it's done properly since it looks like a real effort.
As for your strategy this year with the trades I totally understand it. I after all approached you because of that exact reason. The purpose wasn't to lose points this year as much as it was a good consequence as you try to rebuild with the assets you get back in the trade. Jordy for instance might not be around for when your team is ready so you might as well unload him for prospects and draft capital that will help speed up the rebuild. Losing points and "tanking" is just a side-effect of that and not the main goal.
This whole thing was only brought on because 1 guy went a couple weeks without fixing a lineup when injured and bye players were starting when bench players were available. The team was doing poorly so the owner went lax with the diligence due to lack of motivation and it ended up as an actual unfair tank.
Yeah, yeah. I love getting the second most points in the week and lose heads up. That horrid Kelce trade I made three years ago continues to come back and haunt me. Dont get your scivvys all tightened up. Going to be nip and tuck in the South until the end. Can I play my defense on thier bye week? I probably wont anyways, just wondering. I will probably keep them though, I like thier punt returner. When they just going to make an ISTP
I think the first two seasons had a lot more teams on the outside of the playoff picture and it might have had a stagnating effect on the open market. This year we have several teams that are within striking distance and there seems to be a major arms race happening, especially in our conference Press. We're looking at another 5 weeks of what could be some big shakeups in ranking and draft position.
er: 521"]If that makes sense?[/QUOTE] Well, the way I look at it. Is if you dont have a top 8 pick. Then its pretty irrelevant. I can make a pick in the thrid round that has just of good of a chance as a top 20 pick. If Carson doesnt go down in week 3. He is a stud now. 7th or 8th?
I thought you meant something similar to this. This season is a bit different for me because of how my roster is currently built. It's given me the opportunity to make some moves that I typically would have passed on.
I think beach did well this week. Trading Green and gettin Ryan and Dez. Green is the best fantasy player of the three. However, Dez is a top 25 wr and Ryan a top 10 qb
