Tough to believe anyone in Berea believes in Kizer as the long-term answer when they were furious that they missed out on Garoppolo a second time.

Allbright's report has been corroborated by Hue Jackson's BFF, Mike Silver.

A woman whose husband often came home drunk decided to cure him of the habit. One Halloween night, she put on a devil suit and hid behind a tree to intercept him on the way home.
When her husband came by, she jumped out and stood before him with her red horns, long tail, and pitchfork.
    "Who are you?" he asked.
    "I'm the Devil!" she responded.
"Well, come on home with me," he said, "I married your sister!"

DeShone Kizer played "his best game yet" in London, according to the Browns.

He was 18 of 34 (52.9%) for 179 yards (5.3 YPA), 0 TD, 0 INT, and a QB rating of 68.1. It was his seventh start, seventh game and the best thing you could say about him was probably that he didn't get benched (again).

Deshaun Watson playing in his seventh game (sixth start) threw for over 400 yards, 4 TD, completed 63.3% of his passes and logged a QB rating of 106.9. He leads the NFL in TD passes (with 19). At his current pace, DeShone Kizer will need 44 games, roughly 2.8 seasons of play to get to 19 touchdown passes.

In the new NFL, you either have it or you don't. DeShone Kizer is going to be out of the NFL within a season or two.

Now, we're in the position of having to root against another QB (Garoppolo) because our team couldn't land a competent guy (Wentz, Watson, Garoppolo, etc.).

No. 1 overall... Rosen? Jackson? Mayfield?

Yeah, because the MEDIA has been so reliable in making shit...er I mean reporting things in recent memory...

If this is truly the case then you will definitely see one or the other, or both gone at the end of the year. Instead of THE ACTUAL PEOPLE INVOLVED, coaching staff, front office and owner actually telling you publicly that the reports are false. When they aren't false, they usually just stay quiet.

As for Kizer, I like how you move the needle to "the new NFL" so as to negate the past QBs who struggled as rookies, but came on soon thereafter. Nicely done...

Watson has definitely made everyone look silly...if YOU knew, or any other talking head, what Watson was going to do, they would have been calling for him #1 overall, not a borderline 2nd round talent.

Wentz looks great, but he didn't look this way in the second half of his rookie season, should the Eagles have simply moved on?

    First 5 games 7 TDs, 1 INT
    Last 11 games 9 TDs, 11 INT

If Kizer gets you 9 TDs and 10 INTs over the last 8 games...are you going to be on board with them starting him? After all, that would be better than Wentz his rookie season.

What happens when they draft any of the above #1 overall and they come onto the field and look just like Kizer has during his rookie season?

My gawd, the patience from everyone is astounding, especially when EVERYONE knew this is what was going to happen before the season started...Some of us talked of ridiculous expectations, but no one here, in the media, or in real life in general expected this team to be at 6 wins going into the bye. I don't think anyone expected ZERO wins, but many said 2...some said 1.

This team is not good, and regardless of "me making excuses" their experience has a lot to do with that. Deshaun Watson, Carson Wentz and especially Jimmy Garoppolo would not change that...

Deshaun Watson has wide receivers to throw the ball to, DeShone Kizer does NOT have wide receivers to throw to...Maybe they will develop, but they are not consistent in anything they do. Whether it is running routes, adjusting to the ball, adjusting to a defender, coming back to the ball or flat out catching the damn ball with their hands. This is the most excruciating group of players I have ever had the pleasure to watch....But go ahead and state a rookie either has it or he doesn't, that's certainly your prerogative.

Quote some more "reporters" while your at it...I'm sure they are pretty accurate as well

If it's true, then they will be gone at the end of the year, because working together on the same page is the one thing Haslem requires, if they can't do it, then they will be gone.

So, would getting Garrapalo been "winning" the Bye?

I'd say yes and no. Yes because one would expect he would have immediately become the starter, and allow the Offense to settle in, and grow. No, because I don't believe he's anything more then Hoyer was/is, thus not a long term solution.

Then what kind of genius move does our QB whisperer make with the 3 QBs he's drafted? So far he has elected to toss aside the only guy he's ever had who really was a QB, McCown. Not that McCown should have been our starter this year, but he should have stayed, to continue to help the 3 stooges to learn.

So, what now, oh wise one? Has he ruined his relationship with both guys from a year ago? Does he want to also ruin his chances of ever partnering with Kizer, to keep him moving forward?

3 weeks ago, I'd have bet he'd release Kessler. Now I'm not sure, and I'd bet he isn't either. If I'm Kessler, I ask to go. That guy may not start for anyone, but I'm sure he'd make a pretty solid back up. Hogan's resume is a little thin, to expect teams to have any understanding of what he offers.

As much as it pains me to say it, I think Kizer is the guy for this miserable season. At least that makes some sense: we turned over the team to the guy, so let's find out if that was the colossal mistake it looks like now, or if there really is something there from which to build.

In the end, I don't really think Kizer is the guy, but even if that is true, I want the picks to work with to target and get the best guy in the upcoming draft. If Kizer shows he has promise, then Barkely it is. I don't see that as something that will hurt the team.

QBs. What happens at year's end?

If Kizer improves, OK we're somewhat set for next year's starter. The question isn't necessarily about the starter. Let's remember, we have "no wins" among the guys here, and once this season closes, 5 total years of experience to draw from. Yuk.

Hue's track record is to go with shiney new QBs constantly, cause he "knows" QBs, and can develop them. Really!

Can someone show me a case for either point?

Let's be kind and say that Hue's refusal to give the Offensive Coordinator job, is impacting his ability to develop his QBs, and run the team for that matter.

Get an OC, demand that Hue become the HC, and let him work with the QBs, whoever they may be, to see if he actually "can" develop them. I would also want to have an experienced guy on the roster, and/or hired to coach the QBs, so Hue can be involved, but not wholly responsible for their development. Let's find out if Hue can be a Head Coach. We certainly don't have any clearer answer to that question, than we have to Kizer.

  7. I can think of 2 throws that netted over 50 yds that didnt go beyond the LOS....the 1st play of the game was a TE screen and the scramble shovel pass to Crowell...also the long pass to Louis was a hope n pray ball that resulted in a catch....take those 3 throws away and he completes 15 passes for about 100 yds...yikes

There is no amount of improvement that Kizer can show to be better than Wentz as a rookie - and I thought Wentz was poor as a rookie.

How about the head coach's daughter?

If you miss it, 92.3 the Fan in Cleveland had some great guests today.

    Jason La Canfora

La Canfora said without hesitation that both the coaching staff and front office were gone after the season. He implied that the Browns were already reaching out to candidates and the top guys at the moment were Josh McDaniels and Nick Caserio from New England.

    Benjamin Allbright

Allbright said without hesitation that the coaching staff will be fired, and even openly admitted that his sources were the coaches themselves. His take jives completely with that of the head coach's daughter and good friend (Mike Silver).

It's not unreasonable to think if the Browns make zero moves to add to the team before the deadline today (4:00 pm), it's a pretty clear indication that part - if not all - of this regime is done. If you're Jimmy Haslam, you're not letting Sashi Brown make any moves with the picks you've already accumulated because that's your best ammunition to lure a guy like McDaniels - especially if you say, "Hey... here's the #1 overall pick and you can name your QB".

Josh Gordon is close to reinstatement and this wide receiver-needy regime is going to trade him...

By the time this train wreck of a season ends we will have either a new GM or HC or maybe both?. all these draft picks in there back pocket and the bean counters cant swing one deal to help this mess out ?

I guess they have a couple hours left to do something .:PC:

    Tin Foil Hat Time...

Browns and McDaniels have the gentleman’s agreement in place to take over in 2018.

To ensure the top pick, New England trades Garoppolo to San Fran who will undoubtedly win some games now, leaving Cleveland winless.

Sashi and DePodesta will remain in different roles but the organization will continue to use analytics as New England is the heaviest user now and the GM/HC combo comes from there.

Not gonna happen. The NFL didn't schedule his re-instatement review meeting until AFTER the trade deadline.

They aren't trading him, they are trading the rights to his contract which is intact and can be traded at anytime as if it is a live breathing "playing" player.

Browns and Bengals almost completed a trade for QB A.J. McCarron.

Sure sounds like Kizer is “their guy”.
