u dog - i was stunned that barkley was so positive about their chances of promptly going to the 5th or 6th seeds due to the loss of hayward. i was kind of shocked.
Well, let's face it...we all love Charles, but he's not the sharpest saw in the tool shed, and he loves to shoot his mouth off. Only way they drop to 6 is if Kyrie gets hurt for an extended period too or Brown and Tatum both go in the tank, and both the Bucks and Sixers young guys blow up.
They're also likely to get a pretty significant injury exception that will allow Danny to add a piece or two to the roster to help hold the fort til GH gets back.
Hayward didn't hurt anything on the way up. The reason he looks limp before he lands is because he got hip-checked in midair. It's why his leg came down in that position. The force of his body landing on his leg in the position is what caused the break.
I doubt they get anything. They would have to put him on season-ending IR. By taking the exemption they forfeit his services for the season. Plus any deal made can only be a 1-year deal. So no Bird rights either.
All that said, my expectation is after the emotions of last night and having to turn around and play again tonight after flying home, the Bucks will blow them the f out tonight lol.
Ah actually I may be wrong. The player can still return apparently. If an exception is applied for and granted then they can use it at any point before the player returns, but before March 10th. So the Celtics can use it to sign a single player to a 1-year deal or trade for a player with 1 year remaining on his contract that has no options. The exemption amount in this case would be the Non-Taxpayer Mid-Level exemption amount of $8,406,000. Usually teams get about $100,000 more wiggle room if done during a trade.
i figured that joe but it looks like the leg is flailing bf his ascend to the ground. i figured it was the contact that did it. just hard to really tell when they are in the air.
Well, not to say I was expecting a 10 game win streak after dropping the first two or anything, but has anybody gone back to call Charles out on his 6 seed dumbassery yet?
How are the Spurs looking now? I lived in San Antonio for ten years. They won 4 championships during that time. Then added one more afterwards.
sixers stink and are a fraud. extending embiid was a bad idea. he can't play 2 in a row. they can't hold a lead. they blow 15 points leads like the hooker in the dark alley!
