I dont want to even say what i like anymore because this team is so frustrating. The offense is utterly inept. We have players who cant perform their main function which is to tackle or catch. I dont get how a multi billion dollar sport has so many issues with the technical side of its sport. It is all just about one idiot making a huge mistake only for the other idiot to somehow profit from it. The only consistent thing seems to be tucker. I just want it to be the next season so we can just get rid of flacco and move on because he is woeful. I also think the play calls are retarded on O, so let us change that too but we wont because the ravens are one massive friendship group clique. Harbs needs to fuck off too, his hires are terrible, and i honestly think he brings little to the team. He doesnt really excel at either D nor O and is just there...The D has been solid for the most part so i wont get too mad at them. Also i know we have had injuries but we have lost games due to just being bad, and making mental errors. 2k
Um, not much to really add. The Ravens score a punt return TD AND kick return TD and lost because the 22M QB is pure trash and can't do more than score 3 FGs. I knew it was over when he threw over the middle with 12 seconds and no timeouts. Joe has regressed to Boller levels
And it hurts me to say this, but they need to start Alex Smith. Fun fact, I remember back in 2012, after the Broncos game in the regular season, many people had a week where we were very down on Joe. Expected reaction to a horrible game. I remember saying I'd hoped we picked up Alex Smith. I really wish we would have now
I'm kinda with 2k on this. I'm utter disgusted by this offense. I honestly believe that nay one of us could put together a better offense. Terribly coached and play called. I'm about as big of a Flacco fan as any, but his play this year is dog shit. I'm not sure if he's too cavalier about it or that he's really still hurt. But at this point just sign Collin Kaepernick. Hell, sign Navarro Bowman as QB and I bet we see better play. If you would've said that the defense would've given up 231 rush yards, allow a rookie RB to pas for a touchdown and rookie QB to beat them all in one game I've have laughed at you. This defense is clearly struggling without Williams and that is to be expected. But this is too much of a drop off for just one player. Again, no INTs. Penalties still a big factor. Missed tackles. And not being able to stop a simple screen week in and week out. And this was the good side of team. The special teams plays that kept the teams' chances alive were nice, but that was more of a factor of the Bears S/T sucking too.
This team won't get to 500 this season. Here is to hoping for a top 10 pick in the upcoming draft and a new QB drafted because Joe is done. The offensive line is the main culprit in the decline of Joe obviously, because the lack of competent back up depth has killed them, but he has never been given total control over the offense anyway. His progression reading and recognizing of defenses have always been barely average at best. The Bears are a crap team that dominated at the line of scrimmage against a front 7 that was supposed to not let that happen. Dean Pees and his crappy ass defenses, got all that talent and can't do shit with it. He is beyond horrible. John Harbaugh and the staff need to go after the year. Clean house, start over. I have given up on this years team, after the performance the last few weeks, I don't see them improving enough to be a factor in anything.
I agree Dean Pees is not the defensive coordinator this team needs, but it isn't because he has all that talent. He has some talent. The D line can't be this bad just because they lost Williams (and Urban). Maybe the players are a combination of inexperienced and not very talented. The LB's are average. Mosley isn't the game changer that a #1 pick that high should be. Brandon Carr is consistently beat and Webb is atrocious. Tony Jefferson is also getting beat and is not as advertised. Weddle made a stupid mistake trying to tackle the ball and has seen better days. The Chargers made the right move letting him go. I've been saying for a while now that either the scouting staff is shit or the picks are shit. Either way, that's Ozzie's fault and no one seems to want to point the finger in his direction. On offense, the biggest problem has been the injuries and unexpected retirements, eating into the depth and that has hurt the offense. Joe always held the ball too long and with this line he can't. The Ravens are always bringing in retread WR's because they can't develop their own. Why? Other teams don't seem to have a problem. There is no crispness, no timing, no urgency and no direction to this offense. Alex Collins, cut by another team, is a bright spot on this team. This team has no direction and that is why it will go nowhere
I agree with all of this except about 3 points. Brandon Carr was beat bad in one game that I can recall. He's been fairly solid outside of that The top 3 CBs have probably been the best players on the entire.......team since Williams and Yanda got hurt. Only competition they have is Stanley and maybe Suggs. On the plus side, Canady is back so that should take Webb out of the slot, hopefully with better results. Lardarius should stay a centerfielder I also disagree that nobody is pointing fingers at Ozzie. At least in this thread, I think just about everyone has thrown some dirt his way. And having a bright spot be a player cut from another team isn't a bad thing, it happens often. Adrian Peterson just dominated even though he was cut and traded in the same league year. We've all dreaded facing James Harrison over the years. Sometimes players just end up in a better situation or get an opportunity to showcase their skills. Same of the undrafted players that end up becoming good players at some point
