I even brought them a 36 pack of beer. most couldn't do that. so rips, busts and jokes arent the same for everyone. say anything else to me. hell tell me im off my rocker but leave drinking out of it. gid didn't have a problem with what i said. what i said to him doesnt concern you. only the rocker comment should. from now on i wont even stare your way with a joke.
if i knew it was 2017 that wouldve saved us 13 posts from thinking it was 2016 and the giants making a SB run. lol
I really wasn't picking up a fight, Cat - I was just making convo. I'm sorry it turned a little raucous. Have a great weekend!
It's awesome how the sports convos can come back to a polite level all on their own and everyone with an opinion is cool with everyone's opinion, no matter how much they disagree. Now, when it comes to political convos...
likewise Axe. Enjoy the Schlitz. after 6 hrs last night tearing and cutting carpet for 2 rooms, moving furniture, making 7 trips to the dumpster with cut carpet and laying out 2 new rugs and then moving furniture back alone with a bad back and seeing the Eagles win, i am resting my ass off. my back is royally hurt, so it's recliner and ice water all weekend.
bc Tim if i know im wrong i'll come clean. i thought axe was referring to the 2016 giants, not the 2017 ones until after several posts and links i found had the giants not winning the NFC Conference vs Division. And Axe and I used to live in the same section of Philly. His former HS and mine were bitter rivals until it closed down.i have friends from his HS. i mean how many people are on this site and live that close together? so we battle like brothers from time to time or old neighbors- no need to hold grudges into tomorrow. it's a sports thread not real life. my dear old Dad once said never discuss money, religion or politics in public bc it only causes trouble. he was right. a lot of people didnt like Obama's 8 yrs. however it seems like a billion more hate and despise Trump as President. Actors, athletes and the bum on the street all seem to hate and loathe him and wish he was out of office. until he is out of office or loses a election he is the President of the United States. those political threads are just vile and nasty. name calling and mud slinging at at it's finest. i got off of there bc it's too nasty for me. you can't fix spilt milk. he's the President - live with it for 3 more yrs and 3 months.
So you believed the Giants were going to 2 SBs let alone smacking down the much better Patriots team 2 times? Come on catfish, as long as Eli is on that team they are a legitimate SB threat. Who would have known that when they supposedly improved themselves this offseason that they were really getting ready to challenge the Lions in haplessness?
word is they have the kid's name and charges are being brought on him. panthers are investigating it too. hope they revoke his tix. i posted this on another thread - it amazes me on how many fans stand and block the other fans behind them in games - all sports. then they are told to sit down and they yell " i paid for this seat." so what? at the linc fans will tell u to sit down, have no qualms with making u sit down and security is on you in 2 seconds to sit down. you can't block people's views. at lambeau 3 weeks ago people are standing the aisles, talking, not moving and security did zilch. then 2 bears fans are standing in the middle or a row and section are screaming "fuck the packers" when it was quiet at times during the game." no one did anything. how is that allowed? packers fans did nothing. security just talked to their buddies and it went on for 4 hrs. why? how much of a douchebag do you have to be to do this? how ignorant can you be?
gid-after an afternoon battle with Axe, i am not ruining my Saturday talking about the hapless Giants anymore. Eli has 2 rings and I don't so I don't count that retarded looking mongoloid ever out. i just didn't think they were worthy to challenge for the Lombardi Trophy last year or this year. However - what the hell do I know? I'm way more wrong than right and I'm an Eagles fan happy as a pig in shit as the Eagles are the top and class of the Division now. Everything else doesn't matter to me. I'm basking in Eagles glory till Doug P starts believing in himself and screws the pooch ! As for the Giants - they can burn and be buried with Hoffa for all i care....
nope heading into 18 months sober axe. im sure you don't give a shit about it. that's why i happily raise my ice water to stick it to those who think i still drink. cheers. Cat, If you have or had problems with whatever demons do. You should not cast that evil on the world. Eat what you want, drink what you want, do whatever you want. Short life.
Dallas Cowboys... Despite the NFL’s statement this week that Ezekiel Elliott‘s suspension has begun, the judge overseeing his case says otherwise. A source tells PFT that United States District Court Judge Amos L. Mazzant has informed the NFL and NFL Players Association that he will not lift the injunction preventing the NFL from suspending Elliott until the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit rules on Elliott’s petition for rehearing. That means Elliott remains eligible to play, at least until a petition for rehearing is filed and resolved. The Cowboys are on their bye this week, so the legal wrangling hasn’t affected game planning for them or their opponents. They return in Week Seven at San Francisco, when everyone would like some certainty about Elliott’s status.
Tennessee Titans... The Titans still don’t know if they’ll have quarterback Marcus Mariota on the field Monday night against the Colts. Mariota, who missed last week’s game with a hamstring injury, has been listed as questionable this week. He was limited in practice during the week and Titans coach Mike Mularkey said it could come down to a game-time decision. If Mariota can’t go, Matt Cassel will get the start against the Colts. Cassel started last week and played about the way you’d expect Matt Cassel to play in a loss to the Dolphins. Mariota hasn’t been able to run full-speed since suffering the hamstring injury, so if he does play he’ll likely be less than 100 percent. But even a less-than-100-percent Mariota is probably a better option than Cassel.
San Diego Chargers... Chargers make it two in a row with upset of Raiders... Just when the Chargers looked like we could leave them for dead, they’ve suddenly won two in a row. The Chargers went to Oakland and upset the Raiders today, completing a 17-16 comeback victory with a last-second field goal. The newly signed Nick Novak hit the game-winner for the Chargers. Los Angeles quarterback Philip Rivers had a good game, completing 25 of 36 passes for 268 yards with a touchdown and no interceptions. Hunter Henry had a big game with 90 yards receiving. For the Raiders, Derek Carr returned from his back injury but did not play well, completing 21 of 30 passes for just 171 yards, with two interceptions. The Chargers and Raiders are now both 2-4, but they have to feel a lot different about their records. The Chargers have to be pleased that they’re in the midst of a turnaround. The Raiders, who had Super Bowl aspirations, feel like one of the NFL’s biggest disappointments. (PFT)
Pittsburgh Steelers... Chiefs get one first down, six total yards in first half... Steelers beat them, 16-13. 19-13
New England Patriots... Tom Brady added to his list of incredible feats Sunday afternoon. With the New England Patriots' 24-17 victory over the New York Jets, Tom Brady became the all-time leader for the most career regular-season wins by an NFL quarterback. He earned his 187th career win, breaking a three-way share for the lead he held with Peyton Manning and Brett Favre. Including playoffs, Brady has an NFL-leading 212 career victories.
