G-Men were LOTS of people's darlings coming into this year. Tough D, went 11-5 last year, added Brandon Marshall to an already good WR corps...
no running game for starters is a bad enough sign they wouldn't do much. and did people really think they could beat GB, Atl or Seattle in a Playoff game? That's a stretch.
Former Saints' DB Tracy Porter... BUSTED! Weed, pills, assault/battery and a 9MM. Details... https://www.yahoo.com/sports/tracy-...-arrested-battery-drug-charges-143619440.html
Goodell needs to officially reinstate it but he says if he wanted to he doesn't have to give him eligibility this week despite it being close to the end of the week.
Ah yes. Either way. Goodell doesn't have to let him play on short notice. It's just a courtesy to the team and one he won't want to give twice for the same incident.
Cowboys DT Stephen Paea announces his retirement. Too many injures and doesn't consider worth healing it just to get banged up again.
Carson Wentz completed 16 of 30 passes for 222 yards and three touchdowns as the Philadelphia Eagles earned a 28-23 victory over the Carolina Panthers on Thursday night.
They didn't have a run game LAST year and still went 11-5. Look, YOU might not have thought much of them, but they were still a playoff team and others did them as a threat.
Still a chance (maybe even a decent one) he doesn't miss a game this year. But I added Darren McFadden to my fantasy team anyway.
but a super bowl team ? come on axe. again, a threat to win a game or two is one thing, but beating gb, atl and seattle to get to the super bowl is a lot to ask of ANY TEAM not just the G-men.
How the hell does Romo think Cam Newton scored when he leaped in the air for the endzone and why the hell did Carolina challenge it, lose a timeout, when they scored from the 1 a play later?? idiotic. look Newton's body in the air was over the sideline white line and out of bounds. im sure that isn't the rule, so ok he's in the air, ball never touches the orange cone, he, the ball all land out of bounds and the cone never moves and it's a touchdown?? even if the cone has an imaginary line going up, Newton's arm didn't go around it!! his entire body by then was 2 feet out of bounds. you can't give a player a TD without breaking the plane of the endzone and it wasn't even close. yo Tony, you can't stop hating the Eagles now bc you're on dope if you think that is a real NFL TD. I did enjoy his commentary with Jim Nantz, who i normally dislike. Romo was fresh and brought a lot to the broadcast. Fox needs to hire him bc their announcers including Aikman and Buck flat out suck !
I think the Newton play was a TD, personally, but it was real close. IMO, if it had been called a TD on the field, I don't think the replay would've been able to overturn that, either. But I agree it wasn't worth risking the timeout given the spot of the ball and that it would be 1st down and they needed to score twice.
that's fine u dog. i still don't get how flying in the air over the sideline line in college and pro football isn't deemed out of bounds bc why he never touched the white sideline ? his body is out of the field of play and yet bc he's in the air he is still in bounds. hated the rule before and i hate it now. just odd that being in the air constitutes being in bounds even though your body is almost off the field of play.
I suppose lots of folks picked Atlanta to go to the Super Bowl last year, right? And tons of people picked the Panthers to go 15-1 and make the super Bow the year before, right? C'mon, Cat.
Not sure how that's any different from a guy who dives in the air toward the end zone and bats a punt back into the field of play.
