    1. Deion Sanders is a blowhard. Most days he's just a typical talking head with obvious biases. Having said that, he's absolutely right here. My hope is that this change in media attention will force Ben especially as well as the team at large to check themselves. However,

    4. This doesn't suggest Ben is doing much checking. I know some type of confidence boost might be necessary after his horrible performance, but with that should come some lessons learned. Ben absolutely has to change his approach for the sake of the team. If he's going to throw 55 passes he can't have nearly ten percent of those passes go to the other team ever again. That's not a fluke if he doesn't change things! Further, why does he continue to look like such an ass in front of the media? Confidentiality, friend! Or is the media your twitter? Speaking of Twitter:

    2. Ryan Clark is someone certain players on the current Steelers need to look up to. He was wrong to support Bell in the offseason during his holdout and wrong to criticize Antonio Brown a week ago, but he's a very smart guy who knew his role in the defense he played while with the Steelers and was the ultimate teammate for playing it consistently. Bell may also be smart to criticize the team for their horrible gameplan and lack of balance against the Jaguars, but not to the fuckin' media! Further, any criticism Clark has to levy against the Steelers' locker room would be extremely well-justified at this point. How hilarious is it that one of the most selfish guys and biggest egos in that locker room claps back at Clark for his criticism. Sorry, Le'Veon, but Clark knows what it's like to be in a locker room that was truly team-focused and geared toward winning football games. And he did it wearing the colors you wear now. Take some pride in your team's legacy, you dolt! When past Steelers players from the best teams of the 21st century (aka Not long ago at all) look into the current locker room from the outside and see problems, perhaps you should take them a little more fucking seriously!

    3. Bell's a great player, but he, just like Ben, needs to shut his trap. The Steelers probably would have outright beat the Jaguars had they run a balanced offense rather than the stupidest unbalance I had ever seen. You know two people who need to get that drilled into their thick skulls? Try Ben Roethlisberger, #7, and your offensive coordinator, Todd Haley. Those guys are two big reasons why the Steelers lose games they shouldn't. Complain to them, not to Joe Working Man who already thinks you suck and wants you out of Pittsburgh altogether for your bullshit.

If we didn't turn the ball over we probably wouldn't have scored TDs but a couple of more FGs would have pretty much put the game out of reach because Jacksonville's offense wasn't doing jack shit. So running a lot would have earned us another ugly win but it would have been a win.

I definitely agree with Bell being the ultimately "Me" player. While AB's antics are annoying and are selfish in their own right, he at least mans up and doesn't b*tch to the media. Granted his poor statistical game came in a win, he still wasn't complaining about not getting enough touches. He took his criticism and responded with a damn good game. Maybe it would have been different if the Ravens ended up winning that game, but I don't think so. I could be mistaken, but AB doesn't normally air his grievances through the media. Bell and Ben need to follow that model. Some stuff needs to be kept in-house. I can forgive his quote about not having it anymore, he just played the worst game of his career and was the main reason the team lost. But Bell fighting with a former teammate over Twitter is unacceptable. Bell spent the entire offseason away from the team despite the fact that nothing could change in his contract situation. Can there be a better example of selfishness in a locker room? As for the game plan, I'm sorry someone has got to take control and realize that airing it out against the best pass defense is not the best strategy. That game should have featured a Bell and Nix heavy game plan. As gideon said probably an ugly win, but thats better than an ugly loss. The first pick-6 alright, it happens. Ball was tipped and and the receiver was actually open. The second one should not have been thrown. Ben forced it into triple coverage. After the first one, the ball should have been placed in Bell's hands. Also in the red zone, inside the 5, Watson and Nix should be in the backfield at least once. If not Watson than definitely one of the other backs.

Why isn't Colbert trying to work a trade for Bell? Bell is a shithead, lousy teammate and he's not really worth what he's asking. He would recoup some serious talent (RB/QB/whatever). Maybe trade him for the overall #1 pick in April? Sure, he's a good RB, but we can get another one. There's always another one. His attitude sucks. He doesn't seem to care all that much about being a Steeler. Honestly, I wouldn't mind if the Steelers traded him.

As much as I'd love to get a first-freaking-round pick for Bell that's just not happening. On top of his injury and suspension history lies the fact that he's a RB, and even Marshall Faulk in his prime wouldn't net a first-round pick in today's market. We'd be lucky to get a third-round pick from a smart GM and a second-round pick from a dumb one, but I'd take almost anything.

Me, I'd include him in a package featuring draft picks and Martavis Bryant to trade up and grab our QB of the future. Let James Conner live his dream of running for the Pittsburgh Steelers.

To many key guys are me guys in that locker room right now.

Tomlin and Ben may be onto something with the comments towards the media. It's BS maybe they can get the lock room unified by creating a common enemy for the team to rally against. Bill Cowher preached no respect to his teams frequently his guys fed off it. I'm not sure that it was true or that it worked but leaders find ways to rally people around them. This group of selfish players needs to get unified and find a purpose beyond themselves.
