refs had the preds in their back pocket all night. calling 1 penalty with 2 min to play was one thing. they called 2 penalties on the same shift ! doomed.

 

The bigger problem was Tallon, not Yandle.
The game is too complex to just plug in an expensive player anymore. It's not an all star draft like it was 25 years ago. Way too much talent in FLA to suck so bad. It's aggravating because I heart warm weather hockey.

 

Doesn't Toronto have a couple of USA's top prospects too.
Saw them a few weeks back in Chicago, kicked the fire right in the nuts.

Soccer is like hockey in that it sucks on tv but is pretty awsum live...unless a Canadian team wins.

 

The USMNT has 1 star - Christian Pulisec. The one half of the team are old washed up players and the other half are newbies not worth a damn.

They have been tossing octopi at Red Wings games for over 65 years... now they want to ban this chump for life. Maybe they should put up a sign or something warning that that would be the case. The peeps at the arena glorify this type of thing too, so, its almost condoned and is definitely a tradition. Kinda harsh, but could be just some hot air also.

funny story matty-my brother went to school and partied with him at UVA. lets say Tony wasn't the brightest bulb at tests. He was playing 2 sports there though - baseball and soccer. In a History class for the mid-term, Meola strolls into class. My brother shocked tells him he hasn't seen him all semester and they had a mid-term that day. Tony said he knew and he needed my brother to cheat off of to pass. My brother wasn't happy. Tony smoked a lot of pot at UVA too. They would call him Tony "give me another bong" Meola. hahahhaa.

 

wow-but i said this before. how can they ban someone for life? was there a rule against it? and if have his picture up at every turnstyle, will tix takers look at his pix and then at every fan coming into the arena? yeah right, like they have time for that. if someone else gets tix and there not in his name - how will they know he got in or not ?

seems really silly to ban him!

Yeah, they were on the US U-18 club. I end up crossing paths with soccer people lately and I'm still sorting out who is where and when.

 

i heard the U-20 team is solid as well so some of those players will be taking over for the older guys on the current USMNT! Thank God !
