To me Bud White and Exley were the heroes and only Exley gets a medal for it. Smith gets a heroes dying tribute in the newspaper. I get the whole staining the department, but they didn't want to give Exley a second medal and the 1 guy looks pissed he has to do it. Why? He solved the whole case. Your hero was a piece of shit.
