I was actually thinking, what do you think affects this more, the new CBA rules, or how Fox runs his conditioning? If it were the CBA, then more teams would see it. I know, it's more likely the Bears are just unlucky. But I'd rather have someone tangible to blame.
They say that by week 4, every starter is injured in one way or another. Most just play through the pain. I wonder how many of Fox's players play through the pain. And don't get me wrong, we have some legit f'ing injured players. i don't know. Maybe I'm on a weird tangent. But, didn't Bennet bullshit an injury? And Alshon? and Do you think Urlacher quits with a tricept injury under Lovie? Im probably just drunk and pissed that we lost yet another pass rusher on a weak ass pass rushing team.
So our starting edge rushers are Pernell McPhee, a guy who cant stay on the field. Sam Acho, who isn't a starter on an average team, and Leonard Floyd--who's become so frustrating to watch because he's not using his speed to beat tackles and he's just running to contact. He's not making tackles work, so he's been a non-factor a lot. Roy Robertson-Harris is a statue. And the bears signed Jason Thompson, a 6'2, 200 lb rookie linebacker from Utah. And Howard Jones, a guy who had some success in 2015 but was irrelevant in 2016. Joy.
Linebacker or defensive back? I've read the Bears list him as a LB and was a DB at Utah. In the preseason the Patriots used him as a DB and recorded 10 tackles. He might be quick as hell a 4.45 40 at his pro day, but I don't see him winning any battles given his size in the trenches. smh
I didn't know he was a DB. I just looked at "transactions" on chicagobears.com. The Pats defense is bad this year, and they didn't need to keep this guy around?
