golf vacation was great. nice courses. lambeau field - ugh. except for the seats underneath the press boxes on the 50 yard line on each side of the field, everyone else SAT ON A ALUMINUM BENCH SEAT! I couldn't believe it. Bench seats at a NFL stadium? I know colleges do this to pack them in, but a NFL game? Imagine that thing in winter? For the price we paid for seats, I want a damn seat with a cup holder like other NFL venues. With the thunder warning, the rain and the delay after the Adams hit, it was a 5 hr game! I was done. I couldn't wait to leave. Everyone was soaked. Their stadium security was a joke. People standing in the aisles the entire game. No one asking them to sit down so people behind them could see. Bears fans screaming obscenities and security doing zilch about it. In Philly, they would've been tossed out. Just chaos. Then the thunder game, so everyone had to go into the concourse until the storm passed. Yeah, 80,000 people in the concourse at the same time. Great idea. No one could move and i saw 5 women use the men's bathroom to go to the bathroom bc the women's line was too long. are you kidding me? they should've been tossed out! The stadium is in the middle of a neighborhood. There were homes across the street from the stadium! People converted their garages into mini-bars or man caves for their tailgating friends. i couldn't believe homes were that close. Very cool. Now leaving, we were stuck in insane traffic and the cops forced cars off a main road down a 1 way street, which made it worse. So now if I was a home owner on a Sunday game and needed to get somewhere, traffic is a major issue. Cool to be that close and all, but it probably wears off after 8 home games a season plus playoffs. Happy to be home !
lol gid. why ? i didn't do anything unlike the 5,000 other fans around me causing trouble, standing in the aisles etc. The eagles fans are better maintained by stadium security than lambeau. it was total chaos in there.
Stadiums not being near homes is a new thing. Plenty of old ones were built in lots near homes or had homes develop around then. Look at Wrigley for example. In my city the CFL stadium is completely surrounded by homes. Although the new one is built right where the old one is because the team and city couldn't agree on a stadium and land deal anywhere else. Every other proposed location was closer to a highway or had more space around it.
^^ wel wrigley is also over 100 yrs old isn't it? they have no where else to build a new field in north chicago, so they poured a ton of money into fixing wrigley up. years ago they wanted to build a new fenway park near the old one. same thing happened. no where to build it, so fenway is there. the yankees got lucky and owned the land the new one was built. and these homes LA Joe are like rowhomes. tons of old rows of houses. Philly has tons of them and in the movie Rocky II, he buys one when he gets married. The homes near Lambeau are all modern and single family homes. That's what caught me off guard. they weren't 100 yrs old. They were modern and newer construction.
So what kind of egg is it - scrambled, sunny side up? The egg on your commish's face, I mean. Chris Hogan's a Top 10 PPR WR right now.
^^ he will bring up something else. the guy is never happy axe. i am the reigning and defending 2 time champ and i am 3-1 and he still thinks my team stinks !
Anybody think Ty Montgomery is going to play this week? Broken ribs are pretty tough to play through. He says he is playing, but I don't think he'll be effective if he plays
That's a tough one. Might come down to a game time decision. He isn't even sure whats going to happen yet. If I hear anything, i'll post it. Good luck.
^^i added his backup in 2 leagues to be safe. i got a ton of guys on bye this week, so i need all the help i can get.
Big game for my boy Chris Hogan last night. Hope he was in your lineup, and is the difference in the match-up between you and your idiot commissioner.
oh i posted a message on the league boards afterwards and he said it was because gronk was out. he's just a bitter and jealous old man. im not worried about him. and he had mike evans and the tampa te last night. evans did little. the te got a 0 ! haha
If he's that blind to what's in front of him, then no - he's nothing to be worried about. Three previous games for Hogan WITH Gronk in the lineup: 14-206-4. Besides, Gronk misses a good 4-5 games a year anyway.
