New York Giants... Giants receiver Odell Beckham had one of the weirdest penalties of the season on Sunday, getting 15 yards for pretending to be a urinating dog. He’s also picked up a fine for it. The NFL fined Beckham $12,154 for the celebration. _____________ _______________________ What a dork.
Minnesota Vikings... Vikings safety Andrew Sendejo escaped a penalty Sunday, but the NFL docked him $24,309 for an illegal hit on Bucs tight end Cameron Brate, according to Chris Tomasson of the Twin Cities Pioneer Press. Sendejo was one of three Vikings fined, with linebacker Anthony Barr and cornerback Xavier Rhodes also having money taken out of their paychecks. Sendejo hit Brate in the back of the head in the end zone on a 15-yard touchdown reception. Bucs coach Dirk Koetter said afterward an official admitted he should have thrown a flag. The league fined Barr $18,231 for a horse-collar tackle, and Rhodes lost $9,115 for a taunting penalty. Barr’s penalty came in the third quarter following a reception from Charles Sims, but it was offset by a holding penalty on the Bucs. Rhodes exchanged words with Bucs wide receiver Mike Evans after a Trae Waynes interception in the second quarter, drawing a penalty. Evans was not fined.
Will Parks fined for unnecessary roughness... Jamal Adams fined for taunting... Darron Lee fined for a late hit on Jay Cutler... LeGarrette Blount fined $9,115 for taunting... ___________ ______________________ And that's all fine by me...
NFL suspends Danny Trevathan two games Bears linebacker Danny Trevathan has been suspended two games for his brutal hit that hospitalized Packers receiver Davante Adams on Thursday night. The league announced Trevathan’s suspension today, two days after the hit on Thursday Night Football drew widespread condemnation and caused Adams to be carried off the field on a stretcher. NFL V.P. of Football Operations Jon Runyan made the decision to suspend Trevathan based on the excessive nature of the hit, in which Trevathan lowered the crown of his helmet and appeared to directly target Adams’ head after Adams had already been wrapped up by other players. Trevathan has the right to appeal. Either Derrick Brooks or James Thrash will hear Trevathan’s appeal. If his appeal is not successful, Trevathan will miss next Monday night’s game against the Vikings and then the following Sunday’s game against the Ravens. He can return to the Bears’ roster on Monday, October 16 after their game against the Ravens on Sunday, October 15.
If Burfict only got three as a repeat offender and knocking out a player away from the play kinda feel Trevathan only deserves a 1 game for a first offense. Yeah, bad hit, completely illegal and dangerous hit. Totally fine with the flag, fine, and a game suspension.
Cook might have torn his ACL for the Vikings. Not a death sentence but a damn big blow if that is the case. Hope the MRI is negative and he gets back on the field
Still have Murrey and McKinnon. It’s a big loss, no doubt, but the Vikings can still be a force in the North
Tough to say. Defense is solid and the offense is at least competent, but the Falcons were extremely short-handed in that game due to injuries - including not having either of the starting wide receivers available for the fourth quarter.
NFC Standings 1. Atlanta Falcons 2. Philadelphia Eagles 3. Detroit Lions 4. Los Angeles Rams 5. Green Bay Packers 6. Carolina Panthers Washington is #6 with a win. AFC Standings 1. Kansas City Chiefs 2. Buffalo Bills 3. Pittsburgh Steelers 4. Jacksonville Jaguars 5. Denver Broncos 6. Oakland Raiders Bills and Chiefs would swap seeds with a Chiefs loss.
my trip to lambeau field - ugh. except for the seats underneath the press boxes on the 50 yard line on each side of the field, everyone else SAT ON A ALUMINUM BENCH SEAT! I couldn't believe it. Bench seats at a NFL stadium? People trying to fit on a 12 inch bench? I know colleges do this to pack them in, but a NFL game? Imagine that thing in winter? For the price we paid for seats, I want a damn seat with a cup holder like other NFL venues. With the thunder warning, the rain and the delay after the Adams hit, it was a 5 hr game! I was done. I couldn't wait to leave. Everyone was soaked. My back, already hurting from golf, was in dire pain with no seat back. Their stadium security was a joke. People standing in the aisles the entire game. No one asking them to sit down so people behind them could see. People in the wrong sections and just standing in aisles. Total mayhem. Bears fans screaming obscenities at the top of their lungs and security doing zilch about it. In Philly, they would've been tossed out. How many F bombs can 2 fans keep yelling without anyone else being mad about it? Just chaos. Then the thunder game, so everyone had to go into the concourse until the storm passed. Yeah, 80,000 people in the concourse at the same time. Great idea. No one could move and i saw 5 women use the men's bathroom to go to the bathroom bc the women's line was too long. are you kidding me? they should've been tossed out! The stadium is in the middle of a neighborhood. That's how close the stadium is!! 1-2 blocks away! It's really in a neighborhood! There were homes across the street from the stadium! People converted their garages into mini-bars or man caves for their tailgating friends. i couldn't believe homes were that close. Very cool. Now leaving, we were stuck in insane traffic and the cops forced cars off a main road down a 1 way street, which made it worse. So now if I was a home owner on a Sunday game and needed to get somewhere, traffic is a major issue. Cool to be that close and all, but it probably wears off after 8 home games a season plus playoffs. Happy to be home !
Catfish, you do know that is like the oldest field still in use in the NFL. That thing is older than me.
and that's pretty damn old. but gid the benches were newer! these aren't like the old wood benches in Notre Dame Stadium. These are fairly new aluminum benches! And by the look of the press boxes, they seemed pretty modern too. bathrooms were newer too. it wasn't like the Packers never put money into the stadium, bc they did. Just shocked in this day and age that they never had real seats!
