I went golfing tonight, saw the lightning delay and said "well, at least I can catch the rest of the game". I get home in time to see Nelson wide open in the endzone. Glennon is apparently responsible for 4 turnovers on his own? And now down 28 we are running the hell out of the ball. I should have stayed and had a few more beers at the clubhouse. Fuck this team sideways. I know it's primetime so the Bears will choke, but fucking still. Jesus. FIRE FOX. CUT GLENNON. Don't worry though guys, West Coast so I'll watch the rest and let you know when the game's over and Trubisky isn't in, because he's not going to.
Trubisky doesn't deserve to be part of this crap. Make Glennon finish this shit out. If Trubisky isn't starting next Monday night the stadium might be empty.
They don't announce Trubsiky as the starter I'm changing my avatar to one of my new favorite player. Mike fucking Glennon. Best Bears QB of ALL TIME. Romo is a terrible color guy. The fellating of Rodgers is to be expected, but to say the Bears are playing well when getting crushed by 3 TDs.
Run out that clock foxy. Sexy! Waving the white flag 10 minutes to go in the 4th quarter. That's how you inspire confidence in the locker room. 2 minute warning. I fully expect the Bears to go "victory formation" if they get a First Down. Disgusting.
Gotta be honest. I kept up with the game here. DIdn't watch since Glennos fuctarded int. My stress level is good. Not pissed. TV's and remotes all in good shape. I may just do this from now on
You know dude, I might be with you there. I always hold out some tiny hope that rivalry game, the Bears might show up, but even then I went golfing instead. Unthinkable. And come home to what else should I expect. The literally didn't give a fuck in the 4th quarter. I get it, you're down 4 TDs but they ran the ball for an 8+ minute drive, and then at the end of the game, don't even throw the hail mary, instead just let the clock wind out. Pathetic on every level. I'm really glad I didn't watch the beginning like the rest of you. I'm considering myself not watching. This fucking team. My whole company was watching this because Prime. I told them it would end badly. But fuck man, at least maybe be competitive?
The sooner the better for Trubisky but wait for the next Packers game before burning any memorabilia. That's the first game after the bye.
Been too apathetic to watch for the last two years, now. I catch parts of games now and then, but that's it. I don't care to try. I went to a preseason Panthers hockey game tonight with the siblings - over three hours total drive time. Then we went out for dinner afterwards, and I was thankful there was a rain delay on the TV we tried to avoid sitting near. Saw some terrible, embarrassing football from the Bears, and left without caring. Didn't stay for an extra drive, didn't interrupt conversation for the sake of football, at all... I would've been happier going to a place without the game on. There's no reason to watch this team. Not a one. I'm just glad hockey season is here. I want to thank the Bears - all the money I could've spent on Bears apparel or Sundays at the bar has instead been funneled into (half) season tickets for the Panthers. I'll enjoy that infinitely more. I used to play catch with my brother, out in the yard. We watched Josh Bellamy attempt to catch a ball like he was cradling a lobbed loaf of bread - arms extended, hoping to let the ball hit his chest and trap it/hit his arms and pull it into his chest. And, of course, he dropped it. My little brother turns to me and says, "You taught me that was wrong when I was a kid. I can't remember trying to catch the ball like that. Why is a grown professional catching a ball like that?". Because he sucks, man. Because he sucks. That's why. I would've gladly watched Will and Grace tonight, if I was home. I wouldn't have watched the Bears game tonight if I had the choice, and was doing absolutely nothing else.
I see everyone calling for Glennon and Fox's heads, and you're absolutely right. But how is no one calling for Pace's head?? He paid this guy $18.5 million guaranteed. Even if the Bears want him gone next year, he's costing more than $3 million in dead money. Every single one of us knew he was a bum, before he came here. How did Pace not know? You're telling me you wouldn't take Hoyer, or even Cutler, over this? Someone has to be telling Fox to keep Glennon in there. I can't believe that he believes this is a good idea. It's very likely Pace. Remember when we had Angelo, and we said, "This is awful. It can't get much worse"? Then Emery, and we said, "This can't get any worse"? Well, congrats - Pace is in year three, and at no point have we gotten better, or been better than the year prior. This team has done nothing but get worse under his watch. This is inexcusable. I'm glad Bears fans are wising up and holding onto their money and time. This team doesn't deserve it.
If this happened, and I don't doubt it did, the ONLY reason they did that was to prevent Glennon from throwing another pick. Which means that they are starting him again against the Vikings. I honestly don't know why Glennon is in there. I don't know why Pace - the fucking GM - called him the starter. It is what it is. We suck. I hope we will get better. But for now, I actually fucking hate watching this team. The Vikings are going to kill us on Monday night. Yes another national embarrassment.. We will be 1-4 and heading to Baltimore where we have never beaten the Ravens...
There's something really wrong with this whole picture. I've never seen a coach keep a QB in when he's helping the other team win through his mistakes. And listening to the announcers made me scream ... the Bears were NOT at any point holding their own in the game. What a disaster.
We've seen two teams put in their backup QB in garbage time.....but Fox won't bother to play Trubisky in the same scenario. But he's totally okay with playing Howard with a bum shoulder and every single other starter on both sides of the ball....injuries be damned. Eddie Jackson is supposed to be something to watch at safety.....he's shown be JACK SHIT. Unless I'm supposed to be watching him get confused on coverage's and then throw his hands up when a TD is scored....because he seems to do that an awful lot. Finally a Leonard Floyd sighting last night. Maybe if he didn't have the body of a WR he would be spending more time in the opponent's backfield rather than getting blocked so much. I remember analysts on TV picking apart Jay Cutler with every throw he made but Mike Glennon shits the bed and the narrative is how he has no receivers helping him. Glennon threw a couple passes that were so high over his receivers head and off target that Manute Bol would not have been able to touch them. There seemed to be no game plan early on to get Cohen involved in the game....yet I witnessed at least 3 plays in the 1st quarter that had our fullback splitting out wide..... Out played....out coached....out hustled...out everythinged....in prime time....again.....by the Packers....it's been the same ole thing for the last 24 years or so. The good news is Rodgers is 33 and he's taken a decent amount of hits in his career so you gotta figure the end of his career is getting closer....so maybe 3 more years of this and then you gotta figure the odds of the Packers finding yet another HOF QB to kick our ass for a decade or so is against the odds. Right? I hate everything about John Fox. From his voice to the way he chews gum....I hate him. The front 7 has moments and the defense isn't awful but they are also aren't nearly good enough to carry a team by themselves the way some Bears defenses have been in the past. Kyle Fuller has turned his career around....seriously impressed by his play through 4 games. Our offensive tackles....are shit. Glad you got your paycheck Leno.....maybe you could actually play football now because you haven't through four games. I had more fun watching preseason hockey than I did regular season football last night. And even more fun watching a meaningless Cubs game. Fuck you, Virginia McCaskey. I blame you for all of this.....for all the years of mediocre to bad football we've endured. That's all on your old, wrinkly, refusing to die shoulders.
