Things aren't what they used to be. We are used to having a QB that throws interceptions frequently.....we just aren't used to this new 4 yard pass attack that the addition of Mike Glennon has brought us. Bears only hope tonight is the Packers run defense continuing to look like crap and Howard/Cohen run wild on them.
Personally, it's hard to get up for two bad teams playing each other. Granted, the Bears are historically bad, right now, so that doesn't help any further. I'll be honest with you, I hate the color rush bullshit, so if they're doing that again, tonight, I won't be particularly happy, either. But at least in the case of the Bears, we all know who they are. And we all know that the only way they win anything is, as BWW said, they run the ball relentlessly. Could it be a repeat of last week, and they win one that they shouldn't? Sure. The Packers have a lot of problems, and will, as usual, be relying on Rodgers to win the game for them. But at this point, when the team is the same every week - deeply and stupidly flawed, with no real shot at competing against a competent team - there's not necessarily a lot of hype or intriguing discussion. It's more of a, "Will they be incompetent, too?" situation. Which, fuck, I hope is the case.
Bears Apathay reached an all time high last season. I've never seen the City care so little about the Bears, I dont think its been like this in over 50 years. I think interest is Piqued again with the drafting of Trubisky, but Glennon is so boring to watch and the team is so bad, that its hard for even the most diehard fans to have the energy to care right now. Most are still watching the games, but the fan activity outside of game time has been almost non existent.
The Packers D, especially with Daniels status being doubtful, is still very susceptible to getting gashed by the fun and that Howard kid is the real deal. Their two starting Tackles also may not play so I expect the Bears to bring the house to Rodgers. The game could either way IMO
Bears seemingly can't generate a consistent pass rush to save their lives. If Rodgers has time....he will toast the secondary.

I think interest is quietly there and fans are waiting to see Trubisky on the field before they say too much. But this fanbase has sent a message to owners that they aren't happy with this team...and that's a really good thing. Fans in the city of Chicago are showing a strong distaste for the bad owners that still exist in Chicago sports.
I don't know whether to chose the Bears or GB for my pick tonight. Last year I wouldn't have had a second thought and gone with the Packers immediately. Now I'm not so sure. Plus I love that Packerzzrule created our game thread!!
well, the Packers have lost the battle in the trenches the first 3 games and I don't see where that is going to change anytime soon with their LT and RT not playing Rodgers will have to scramble even more so than ever
I love you Packerzzzz! So apparently I can't pm you. I've sent a pm to Tim to ask why this is happening (It happened with Blitzburgh to) but since I can't right now I'm going to ask you in here instead of pm. Tim is mounting a massive membership drive as you've probably noticed and I was wondering if you'd like to invite any of your Hoopla brethren over here? We desperately need some Packer fans ... you might be one of the only ones we have here. We need some decent Packer discussions and to strengthen the rivalry between the Bears and Packers here on our site. Can you help us out?
I've committed to not watching the Bears until Trubs takes the field. I skipped Sunday's game and will not be watching tonight. Had enough aggravation over their incompetence and stubbornness in sticking with Naponleon Giraffe Dynamite. Have they really though? The games this year have been well attended. From what I've heard, Steelers fans didn't take over Soldier Field on Sunday. I'm sure merchandise is still being bought, local TV ratings fine. The ownership is not being hit where it hurts. Fox got a vote of confidence from the owner at the end of last season after a shit ton of excuses were made. Some fans may be trying to send a message, but I don't think it's resonating with the owners, which means it's not as good of a thing as you think.
From what I've heard from someone who was at the game, there were a lot of Steeler fans, but no where near the majority or close to it, which means it's not that embarrassing as it should have been.
They probably were. Steeler fans travel well and in large numbers. Plus, I doubt that Bears season ticket holders are any different than Browns season ticket holders isomuch as apathy sets in and they saw an opportunity to recoup some of their money.
What's the over and under on Noodle Neck 20 yard attempts? because I'll bet my house and take the under
