Well-designed play by the Colts with the designed pick, but check out the effort. Peppers also stinky on this one.
Just heard a disconcerting factoid . . . So far this year, the Browns have played 12 quarters of football. At 15 min/qtr, thats 180 minutes of football. They have NOT held the lead in any second of those 180 minutes.
That's an understatement...That play pissed me off more than any other yesterday. Jamar Taylor is just jogging along waiting for the Safety to make the tackle, and then Peppers comes racing over with the worst angle I've ever seen, leaving the shifty T.Y. Hilton a wide open path to cut back toward the middle and score. It's only after Peppers takes himself out of the play, that Taylor has that "oh shit" moment and decides to give effort. That's the kind of inexcusable crap that sends me spiraling into meltdown mode...They looked like a poorly coached high school defense on that play, but I still put part of the blame on Gregg Williams. Why we kept the Safeties so far back, when Brissett was destroying it, is beyond me...
Im sure you will go crazy again, but this is why you frustrate yourself.....you make all these crazy assumptions if this guy does this or that the Browns win....well Luck or Davis didnt play so mayb Indy wins by 40 if they play? Maybe if Ben and Bell played in the preseason the Browns lose by 21? The young stuff is so overrated in the NFL cause they decided to go young cutting Haden, trading Davis and not adding any vets...thats on the FO so that excuse needs to go...their not getting any older this yr so I guess they will go 0-16 cause their young....how bout we just admit this is a bad football team and bad teams find ways to lose games...pretty simple
Easy answer...he has 8 guys within 3 yds of the LOS....not a good DC and thats why he doesnt sustain a job w a team
It seems he's playing the deep safety approach because of the lack of pass rush. It's a conservative tactic due to lack of pressure being generated. To think that Myles Garrett returning to the lineup is going to be the cure for that is a bit presumptuous. Garrett will no doubt have an impact, but hoping he is able to force opposing offenses to completely change their approach is a bit out there. They need to find a way to get pressure on opposing defenses and right now, only Ogbah is able to deliver any pressure (still only one sack through 3 games).
lol! Thanks Buzz...I guess you missed the part in my quote where my exact words were: "I'm not making excuses. We lost, and that's that. Every team has injuries to deal with. I get it."... smh. If you're going to crop my quote, at least comprehend it first....
I agree, Hue. You've drawn up a solid play. Your receivers have executed it well enough. Your offensive line has given your quarterback enough time to throw. He's just not getting it done.
We lost the Steelers game by 3 points. Perhaps the "best player in the draft" could have made a difference...That's NOT a "crazy assumption". It's simply a fan of the team, pointing out an obvious detail... "frustrate myself"??? lol!
I did comprehend it but deep down you feel that way or else you wuldnt have posted it....here's an idea Myles Garrett hasnt played a game in the NFL yet and Collins has won 1 game w the Browns....every fan base can come up w an excuse why they lose...excuses are for losers and thats what the Browns have been for yrs...you hear Tito complain bout all their injuries? He says next man up and they rip off 22 in a row minus Chis, Salazar, Kip, Brant, Miller etc...thats a winner mentality
Best player in the draft according to who? The Browns? You? Thats proven he's the best player in the draft? Oh my bad making an assumption again....smh
Yeah, I'm sure you would be saying that if he had been stepped on in practice and unable to play as of yet....
For what it's worth, Solomon Thomas sat at the top of my overall warboard. Thomas was the top rated defensive lineman while Myles Garrett was my top rated 3-4 OLB. That's not me butting into the discussion between stopper and yourself TD. I just wanted to post that so we could come back and talk about it at a later date when we get to see more from both players. I hold myself accountable for my projections and the Browns board tends to have a lot of members with long memories.
Fun Fact! Kareem Hunt leads the NFL in rushing yardage (401) and by a margin of 113 yards to the next closest guy. Isaiah Crowell has 114 yards on the season, one more than Hunt's rushing lead differential. Just to re-cap: 2016 Me: DRAFT JORDAN HOWARD!! Browns: *avoid drafting a running back* Jordan Howard: *is second-best running back in 2016 rushing for 1,313 yards and 6 TDs* 2017 Me: DRAFT KAREEM HUNT!!! Browns: *don't take a running back until the second-to-last pick* Kareem Hunt: *is best running back in 2017, on pace for 2,139 yards and 21 TDs* Isaiah Crowell: *on pace for 608 rushing yards for the season*
You guys kill me...All ready to fire Hue and kick Kizer to the curb, just three games in....And just for good measure, we might as well assume the Browns fucked up when they selected Myles Garrett.
