  1. Lyman "Franchise Asshole" Browns Buckeyes

Sounds like me in week 1. My opponent had Kareem Hunt. It was over before I could log on.

I forgot to set Gurley in my one league. I did start Watkins though.

    Baltimore Ravens...

The Ravens will be without their best run-stuffing defensive lineman on Sunday against the Jaguars.

Brandon Williams didn’t make the trip to London because of a foot injury, according to Alex Flanagan of NFL Network.

The 340-pound Williams has started the Ravens’ first two games this year and started all 16 games each of the last two years. He’s been a big part of the Ravens’ success on defense, and now the Ravens will have to face the Jaguars without him.

Jacksonville’s offense is predicated around running the ball with Leonard Fournette and Chris Ivory, and they’ll look for some big holes where Williams ordinarily would be.

I wonder how the Bills and their fans enjoyed watching Sammy last night? That must have been tough.

Think they're probably waiting to see if he can make it through an entire season (or close to it). He's in concussion protocol now, I think.

    Pittsburgh Steelers...

Too many hip thrusts cost Steelers linebacker Bud Dupree.

The NFL fined Dupree $12,154 for a “sexually suggestive” celebration of a sack on Sunday. Dupree thrust his hips several times after sacking Vikings quarterback Case Keenum.

Although the league has eased off on celebration fines, anything suggesting sex or violence can still result in a player’s paycheck getting docked. The celebration also could have yielded a 15-yard penalty, but the officials didn’t see it.

    Detroit Lions...

Jim Caldwell is no longer in the final year of his contract.

Caldwell and the Lions have signed a new deal that will keep Caldwell in Detroit for multiple years, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN. According to the report, Caldwell actually signed the deal months ago, but neither he nor the Lions felt the need to announce it publicly. Caldwell was asked about his contract last week and refused to address it.

The Lions have made the playoffs in two of Caldwell’s first three seasons and are off to a 2-0 start this year, so it’s hard to argue that Caldwell doesn’t deserve it. That’s especially true considering how long the Lions had been at or near the bottom of the NFL before Caldwell arrived.

Lions General Manager Bob Quinn inherited both Caldwell and quarterback Matthew Stafford. Now he has locked both of them up with new deals, indicating that Quinn thinks he already has the two most important pieces of the puzzle in place.

RAVENS STINK! I took them in 2 pools. ouch. and a L. Blount scored a TD and rolled the ball towards a Giants defender. 15 yrd penalty for taunting. Wow. That's lame NFL.

Sproles broke his arm and is going on the IR. Pumphrey is already on IR and was his eventual replacement. Good thing the Eagles kept 5 RBs on the roster because they still have 3 and all played well today. Blount busted out, as did Smallwood, and Clement got his first TD. Do they go after another RB? I think they need to make a move either in FA or in a trade for a change of pace receiving RB. The thing is who would be available?

Technically, the Eagles are ahead of Minnesota in the standings by virtue of scoring 5 more points on the season than the Vikes. I like your standings better, tho. ;)

FG is......GOODDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD! 61 YARDER! Wow. What a finish in Philly yesterday! Had to suffer through listening to Buck and Aikman! Ugh. Torturous. Buck's attempt at a beard makes him look like a shady neighbor you wouldn't let your kids around!

Not at all. The Lions personnel weren't getting ready to line up again. That had to be done before the TD call was even made. They would have NEVER made it in time with 8 seconds to go. Yes they beat the Vikings last year by lining up with 7 seconds to spare but the players were all ready to line up after gaining yards. This time they were focused on protection and that it'd be a catch for a TD or an incompletion. The Lions goofed by even throwing it into a window the Falcons covered just good enough to make him a couple inches short.

The Vikings beat teams that are a combined 2-3 while the Eagles beat teams that are 2-4. The difference is the week Tampa had off.

it's odd the clock runs out though on this call by the refs as the article states. throwing over the middle is always risky as the clock winds down anyways as you can't stop it unless you have timeouts.

Not only did Sproles break an arm... he tore his ACL... damn!

Eagles may just grab someone off the practice squad, eh?
