Nope. Perceived effort notwithstanding, Britt's bigger, stronger, more experienced, and more productive over his career.
Yes and they've also been in the SAME systems for 12-17 YEARS...DeShone hasn't even had that many in months yet. Continuity guys, that's what we are talking about.
For all those who listened to Knuckleheads In The News with Lanigan, Webster and Malone: Radio Hall of Famer John Webster, who became a beloved figure during his decades of work in Cleveland, has died, WTAM 1100 announced this afternoon. According to his stepson, Hurricane Irma is partially to blame for Webster's death: Jason Fox told WTAM Webster had been resting in his Central Florida home following hip surgery. When the hurricane hit, Webster lost power for a week, apparently causing his health to deteriorate. "I think, just like all these people they were finding in these nursing homes without electricity and without air conditioning, it really puts a strain on the elderly," Fox said. "I think that was the final straw for John." Webster is perhaps best known for his time at Magic 105.7, forming a popular morning show trio with John Lanigan and Jimmy Malone. He later joined Bill Wills and the late Casey Coleman at WTAM, where his "Webster's World" segment became a local hit. Webster, an Illinois native, also enjoyed stints in Chicago, St. Louis, Detroit, and New York. Funeral arrangements have not yet been announced.
I'm assuming that's the same John Lanigan from WUAB-TV43, The Prize Movie, in the afternoon.(?)..I remember watching that as a kid. He would show little clips from movies during commercials and give callers a chance to win a prize if they could guess the movie....Ah yes. The beginnings of my love for trivia. WUAB is the reason I'm a Tribe fan...Without them showing the Indians games in the 80's, I might have never seen the Tribe...
Haha, I grew up on those Prize Movies also. Channel 43 was like our cable back in the day..It was one of about 6 channels we got and it had the "off network" programming. I also listened to Lanigan on the radio and he was a bit of a bastard there, lol. Very entertaining....I wish I could remember John Webster, I probably listened to him at some point also, but I don't recall. Name sounds very familiar.
The Prize Movie was a favorite. I also always watched Superhost with Saturday Mad Lab Movies and Big Chuck and Little John.
Easy there, cowboy. It's a little early in the day to.........never mind. If you're all hyped about 420, then you probably don't have a job to go to anyway. How's you're folks' basement working out for you?
The Tribe made it 4 in a row last night to climb within one of the Dodgers for best record. That's 26 of their last 27. And 12 straight on the road which either (can't remember what I read earlier) ties or breaks that record set by the 1922 team.
Go ahead and be amped about 420. I know plenty of business owners and people who are pretty well off that get excited about it.
I'm not knocking it Dogside. To each their own. Just a friendly jab back at Firehalo who drops in and likes to take a friendly poke at us now and again.
Much like most of LA, I had no clue there was an NFL game last night until I glanced at the ESPN app and noticed it was the 3rd quarter. It kind of caught me by surprise. After checking the box this morning I am quite surprised that I haven't seen posts from Hoyer Fan and whatever platform was available. What looked quite amazing was that the Rams signed Tavon Austin to that extension and we had the same amount of receptions last night. He only out-rushed me by 14 yards too. I guess I am extremely underpaid.
I think you mean San Francisco, but I get the point..It's a shame too, because that was a hell of an entertaining game.....Hoyer was Hoyer though. There was good and bad, as always with him.. I mean, on the first play of the game he fired a bullet right to the CB for an easy pick 6....Well I guess he got tackled at the one, but LA scored on the next play. I believe it was the fastest offensive score in NFL history by a team that did not start with the ball. Twelve seconds in...Hoyer had his moments, but SF can have him. As far as Tavon Austin...It was even worse than that. He muffed a punt resulting in a turnover deep in his own end, and almost muffed another in the 4th quarter. He was awful, and yes, severely overpaid. Not sure what the Rams were thinking when they gave him that contract...? That game was much closer than it should have been. The Rams' special teams were anything but. Besides Austin fumbling it around, they also had a fumbled kick return by Pharoh Cooper and gave up an onside kick recovery...Watch out for Jared Goff though. He looks good with his new WR duo compliments of Buffalo. Watson and Woods looked great, and both had over 100 yards. Bills fans had to really enjoy that like a sharp stick in the eye...Goff looks like a completely different guy from last season, as does Todd Gurley. It's a perfect example of how coaching means everything in the NFL. Fisher's Rams looked lost and confused, but these guys obviously like Sean McVay and this new offense. That's already twice the Rams have gone over 40 points...
