Well I'm confused... if you drop it wouldn't you have a empty slot, why not get a few points instead?
No you have to have one, just not in the offseason. When you cut down to 30 it's a no-brainer to drop your DST unless you have a bunch of retired guys on your squad that need to go.
Costly opener for me. I probably lost Berry for the season and I didn't start Alex Smith! Didn't see that coming...
I don't believe so... its not in the 'scoring' rules. I believe the way the rules read only the player who forces a fumble scores (2 points for every Fumble Forced - DB, DL, LB) and that would include if it were recovered by the offense. Tim is the one to answer with all authority.
This was brought up multiple times before. The man that forced the fumble is the real player that deserves the praise. He went through the trouble of knocking it loose. The other guy is usually just cleaning up garbage, although he could get a TD.
D/ST only gets points for blocks, kick/punt returns and 2-point convert returns. What I'm not sure of is if FF applies blocked kick TD's to the team defense or the player itself because it doesn't consider it a return. I don't think someone got a DST TD in week 1 for a blocked punt TD, just the point for the block.
It opens up immediately following the Monday night game. You have until kickoff on Thursday night to have your PS reset for the next 5 weeks.
It still has to be legal 1 offense 1 defense during these days right? It's just a time when players can be moved to the active roster, right?
There has been an amendment made to the rules - Inactivity Rule Any owner that fails to update their roster by keeping either injured players or players on a bye week in the starting line-up will receive one warning per season. After the initial warning, that franchise will lose their first round pick in the following draft and will be compensated a pick at the bottom of the second round. If an owner has two seasons with warnings for inactivity, the third infraction will be considered a previously warned offense and the rule will be immediately enforced. Exceptions to the rule have to be brought to the commissioner through the forum by private conversation or through email. Posting on the FleaFlicker board or posting in a forum thread will not be an accepted measure. Multiple injuries to the roster will be taken into consideration. If an owner is found to be inactive for 3 weeks in a season they will forfeit ownership of their team and will need to submit an application for league reinstatement. This rule was something that I had originally considered but has never been necessary for this league. There still has been no reason to issue a warning to any owner and this was only amended here because of an issue that arose in another one of our pay leagues. This is something that will probably not be needed in this league as everyone here does a great job of staying on top of their line-ups but having it on the books now will help to avoid any potential future issues. If you have any questions be sure to ask them.
