ok new question - in forrest gump what state does Lt. Dan incorrectly call out to the home state of Bubba and Forrest ?
Master of the Figure Four Leglock! LOL guess I was into rasslin before you, I know you're only a little younger than me but I can remember watching it in the 70's when some of the old legends like Bruno Sammartino and Chief Jay Strongbow were still going and guys like Paul Orndorff and Ric Flair were just young whippersnappers. My dad's youngest brother is only a few years older than me, he was more like my big brother, and he used to wail the snot out of me and my kid brother trying out the moves we saw on TV lol.
aha great stuff u dog. i recall when sgt slaughter came back in 83 or 84 my older brother who is 10 yrs older than i was knew who he was. wrestling was NOT on tv in our house, but he knew him from the old school 1970's days. haha. Bruno was on tv recently. man his ear is all messed up. it's worse than lesnar's cauliflower ear.
Somewhere in my house is a picture of me and my middle son sitting on the Forrest Gump bench in Savannah.
ok changing movies - in the movie MISERY - what is the full name of the character Kathy BAtes loves so much ?
ok new one -- in the James Bond classic Goldfinger - what is the name of the mobster who wants his money "now" and is taken to the airport by OddJob ?
ah that was too easy for you Lyman. Well done! Yes. Mr. Solo met his doom challenging Goldfinger and was shot and then crushed in a car compactor.
There are all sorts of problems with that whole scene starting with the cargo bed capacity of a Ford Ranchero couldn't have been much more than 500 - 700 pounds. The weight of a Lincoln Continental (even with the engine removed) would have far exceeded that capacity. Add in another 2000 pounds of gold bars, and the rear axle would have collapsed. It did make for a memorable scene, though.
another great scene in a Bond movie where someone didn't agree with a villain, was in A View to A Kill and the guy was dropped out of a Blimp into the SF Bay from high above! He could be heard screaming "ahhhhhhh" the entire way down! haha.
