The NFL & the NFLPA are partnering up to roll out a study on medical marijuana. Every player in the league will need pain relief if the NFL decides to do this.

Yes, but it may have a rule written that the prescription has to be from a doctor outside of the NFL system. THEN, you will have guys refusing to sign contracts in a state that doesn't allow medical MJ.

Every player in the league has pain to manage. But the biggest hurdle would be the states where they don't have any legalized weed whether it be medical or recreational.

It's about time these dudes figured this out.

I have chronic pain from falling off our roof in 2000 and used a ton of different pain relievers until 2008. I now drink a tea made of 1/4 tsp cannabis mixed with 1 TBSP coconut oil and simmered gently in 1 cup of water for 30 minutes. For the first time in 17 years I sleep longer than 3 hours a night and my sleep is restful and healthy.

    It works well for pain.

Yeah, I'm waiting for something legal for my arthritis. They've tried to get me to use medication for the last 15 years, but everything they want me to use doesn't sound so good when I look it up. I've just used pain management to this point...but eventually I'll need to do something, this seems like the best option available, except it isn't available where I am at.

Marijuana should be legal everywhere, it's not the monster that alcohol, opioids, cocaine , pills and meth are. Not addictive and actually works on your pain and helps you sleep.

You'll see an enormous difference using cannabis as an edible. If you find the right type (sativa or indica) and level of CBD you won't get high so you can function really well. It takes pain away. It's amazing. I've coped with very acute pain levels for the past 17 years and this is the only thing that I've used that actually lets me sleep pain-free. I was on Darvon, nerve block pills, narcotic patches, oxycodone, morphine and a few other medications that just made my life blurry and painful.

I can't speak highly enough about using cannabis for pain and sleep deprivation.

Exactly Packerzzz ... cannabis was used medically until the 1950's and I believe that they stopped using it because they weren't making money from it.

We'll be legal in Ontario by 2018. That means that individuals can plant up to 4 plants on their property. That means cleaner and more effective pot use.

I was able to score some medicinal weed from Cali - wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

I believe it will be legal in all of the US in my lifetime with the last state to approve it being Wisconsin

Honestly, I wouldn't care so much about legality except that I am a CDL holder, thus I have "random" drug tests, which I randomly get picked for every 4 weeks...I swear, I think they make me pee just because they know I will pass.

It's been 25 years, but I used to smoke recreationally and it never effected me the way alcohol did.

Nah, it'll probably be Georgia. These folks down here don't take kindly to changing anything, even their pants.

Danny Trejo smokes weed and he's my hero. That's good enough for me!
