I actually prefer to get the notifications on threads that I respond to. The conversation doesn't slip past me that way. Another thing you can do is leave it on for your own threads, then turn it off when you post to another thread. Just click on 'more options' in the lower right hand corner of the post box before posting for additional options.
Ya I noticed those. Whenever you click more options the default is to watch it. It is also the default when you create a new thread regardless of your profile preferences (the box is ticked).
Okay . . . I'm three days in and, so far, I think you knocked this one out of the park!!! The only suggestion I would make (other than bigger font sizes), is put your size 10 up the "News Desk's" arse. He (She) is posting "breaking news" that is either months old or already posted (probably by Will).
Thanks! The 'News Desk' is something that I have put on hold until I can tweak it a bit. Once I have the bugs worked out it should post one new item a day from within the last 12 hours of the news cycle. I don't know if it will work out or not but I will probably continue tinkering with it after I get some more work done in other areas. I'll look to see if there is a way for you to set your own font size.
lol, yep, you could do that. I have it turned off until I get the bugs worked out. It probably won't be back on until next week sometime.
i had the same issue joe did. i unchecked them as i was getting alerts for every thread i was on and still get alerts. its less and its ok. it could be a glitch as i did uncheck getting alerts across the board. i miss the medals of the teams we liked. i hope they come back in the future.

The problem I had cleared up this morning after my browser finally refreshed on it's own. Are you having this issue with your phone?
Tim-i uncheck the box to receive alerts (turning it off) and every damn day they come back on. why doesn't this work ? what am i doing wrong here ?
Any alerts already subscribed to need to be unwatched individually. You can do that at the top of each thread or in the watched threads section by selecting "view all watched threads"once you have no unread posts there.
