I agree, they were teammates for one...and as an organization, wouldn't you want as many as possible in attendance?

I understand the hard stance by the HC considering its their 1st Camp practice, but seems a bit harsh. Seems to me they could easily work around this.

One toke over the line sweet Goodell, one toke over the line, standing down town at a railroad station one toke over the line.

After eight NFL seasons, former Broncos and Jets tackle Ryan Clady has decided to retire. The free agent announced his decision on Twitter in a post captioned "I'm excited about what life holds for me going forward." Clady said that although teams were interested in signing him, he made the "difficult decision" to retire from the league after nine years.

Probably trending in that direction. Big money, short career, bail while you got a brain.

Yeah, not a good look. Elliott, Moore, Carroll, Irving, Wilson...too many suspensions (or looming suspensions).

axe-do you think Dak as a good as a year as last year if his WR core is healthy ?

  10. AxeMurderer Legend Cowboys

Yeah, I do. From all accounts, he's got his head on straight - focused, hard-working. Dez looks to be 100% healthy, so that'll be a help. It'd also help if whomever they wind up starting at LG doesn't turn out to be a weak link.

Ravens fourth-round OG Nico Siragusa has been diagnosed with a torn left ACL, MCL and PCL, and is done for the season.

Devastating. The No. 122 overall pick had been getting some first-team reps at the Ravens' unsettled left guard position. Now he'll be settling in for what will probably be a year-long rehab. Siragusa has impressive college film and measurables, but was old for a rookie. He will be a 24-year-old sophomore with a shredded knee in 2018. Enduring an unfathomable run of injuries, the Ravens have lost seven players for the season since June 1.

I can not believe the luck of the Ravens.

The Ravens are getting devastated before they play a preseason game.

10th round keeper a no brainer, imho. I am assuming it's a one year max for the 10th round designation? I'd use it and be ecstatic.

Meh. Losing Tavon Young was tough. Played pretty well last year but the rest of the group shouldn't come as much of a surprise or matter that greatly. Taking Dennis Pitta away from Flacco is probably a net positive move. Force him to look elsewhere. Nick Boyle is a better player at this point in Pitta's career. Dixon is probably the next closest thing to an actual loss but was already out 4 weeks to suspension. Gillmore (described as a china doll in pre-draft evaluations) has never stayed healthy. Siragusa a is a 4th round rookie, if you're counting on him you've mismanaged your roster.

Only time will tell but I don't see any devastating losses in that group. They will still be a pretty damn good defense and their o-line was gonna suck before Nico Siragusa went down. The story of their season will hinge on who else they acquire to play on the o-line and how well they perform as a group. Their approach to the o-line resembles their approach to the WR position the last few years.

it's a 3 yr max. all keepers are a 3 yr max to be kept if owners keep them that long.

The issue at hand is the amount of depth we're losing that will need to be replaced with the limited cap we have. I'm sure they weren't counting on this many injuries already coming into this season.

And let's not sleep on mid round guards. The Ravens have been pretty good at finding guards in the middle rounds. I don't think he was spectacular, but Alex Lewis was also a 4th round rookie last year.

A 4th round rookie that only saw the field because the Ravens didn't build a better line - IMO of course. But that wasn't my point. Just taking issue with the fact that the Ravens have been "devastated". No doubt losing depth never helps but the Ravens obviously committed to the defense this offseason and largely ignored the o-line. Not much has changed in that endeavor.
