Franchise League Rookie Draft 2017

You were looking for precedent earlier. The precedent is there. Points win out in the draft.

 

If you go back through the pay dynasty league thread I believe you are going to find a conversation about this and we decided on points for the draft.

 

Non-existent how? I feel it's like the Eagles and Bears deciding who makes the playoffs based on division record. It just isn't applicable. Also an issue here is I took this over for Tim. He placed those rules. I don't want to override him just to do so.

 

My argument originally was to question why would would use a secondary tie breaker for draft position.

That really doesn't matter though. We use record, points and playoff loss for the draft.

 

The precedent of division record or conference record for non-division foes. I found it just go to points. Points was never the argument.

To be honest, I don't care if they swap or not but I don't see the logic behind it. I'll leave him a message since it directly involves him.

It originally did. But after year one we had a conversation almost exact for word as to what Irish put up an it's the reason why Beach had the higher pick in the draft. Same record, but worse point total.

 

Didn't expect Mixon to go 1.1, but he's a good choice.

 

It's because you think you are right (I'm not judging) but if KT (or whoever in his shoes) followed my logic for the order he might be upset he didn't at least get that consolation.

 

Still doesn't add up. One guys team sucked more than the other guys team so he get the higher pick. Because the commissioners of this league were to busy to notice there was an issue earlier doesn't mean that we should be making some kind of special changes to the order or the rules.

Just my 2 cents.

I get the suck thing. It's about interpreting the rules. Nothing else. Agree or not Irish at least noticed what I was talking about and that it's a valid argument. It was just never addressed before because it never came up. And I noticed. I just always thought we used division tiebreakers for division only. Never thought people would think differently.

 

I already know what it is for the pay league -

Record - Points for the top half

Playoff Loss - Record - Points for the bottom half

It's what we used the last two seasons.

 

We never used the Wild Card Tie breakers for the draft either. It was something that was copied down into the rules originally for the draft order that didn't apply.

 

I think that only got updated recently. It used to say then follow tiebreakers, like here. Oh well. Whatever It's solved, kinda.
