Franchise League Rookie Draft 2017

Why?

 

It is titled division tiebreakers and that does not apply. I believe we broke a tie before in our other dynasty. If they aren't in the same division then they are not applicable.

 

Based on what? Why would the wildcard tie breakers take precedence when they don't have anything to do with the other conference either?

Do we take wildcards from both conferences or can they all come from one?

 

It's a hole in the rules.

Just like NFL playoff tiebreakers one would think you use what's applicable. One involves exclusively division foes and the other every other scenario. You'd think it'd be the same for draft tiebreakers since it simply says we follow tiebreakers.

 

Give me a second and I'm gonna check something for precedent.

 

But they are not in the same conference and the idea is to identify the weaker overall team for the #1 pick.

They have the same record within their own divisions, they are not in the same conference and one team has less points than the other. I would think Wild Card tie breakers do not apply in this instance.

And technically - There is no hole in the rules as the Division Tie Breaker is listed first.

And for the record - I'm arguing to take the first pick away from my bro right now.

 

I would definitely agree here..I would expect the lower points to "win" the tie breaker when it comes to draft pick. Wild Card in fantasy football is usually reserved only for the playoffs.

 

I went back to our 2016 rookie draft for our pay dynasty. Beach picked #3 before KT even though Beach had the better conference record. But Beach also had a better division record and still picked earlier. OOPS. lol. Beach did have less points.

 

So #1 would be Evan, correct?

 

I think that had to do with some trade maneuvering as well. I gave up my first round pick that season to mutigers and I believe Frank had a deal that moved his first round pick down. I'm not sure if Beach made any moves but I know there were some changes that had to be made in the first because of trades.

Ok, so am I announcing a pick here or what?

 

It doesn't solve anything. I think Tim made a booboo following the fleaflicker dynasty auto order in 2016. The question is who is it fair to give the pick. It matters beyond the 1st pick as well. I also need to check the later picks to make sure. I'm gonna double check everything. I don't want this to get more confusing than it is.

 

Tim I am going to quickly look at that trade history to be certain. If there is a precedent I want to use that to avoid any BS later.

I'm confused on where the "other" tie breaker rules came into effect? The only ones listed on FF are these:

Power & Playoff Rank Tiebreakers

1. Best division record (same division only)
2. Most average points/game
3. Best head-to-head record
4. Hardest schedule (record)
5. Hardest schedule (points)

This is where the FF draft order came from as well..this effects much of the draft order.

That is FF's but not our list. We ignore that. But that is what determines the order you see on FF before you edit it.

 

The only other tie is Tebowski and Turftoes. Via FF it shows Tebow 3rd but via both sets of our tiebreaker rules he'd be 4th. There is no controversy there. But you see how it shows that FF's order means squat to us.

Are KT and Evan both available?
