He tore his meniscus while training. It usually takes 6-8 weeks for recovery, but the Ravens won’t know for sure until after he has surgery today.

Meanwhile, Bobby Rainey is reportedly rejoining the team.

I'm starting to fear that Dixon will never get a real chance to make an impact for the Ravens.

  3. I'm worried about this too, but I think he is probably the most talented player we have at the position, has showed a good work ethic and has versatility. Could just a bit like Perriman getting off to a slow start, or could be like Camapnaro where everything just gets in his way, and I doubt he's like Matt Elam.

6-8 weeks for a meniscus surgery recovery means he didn't have simple arthroscopy (removing debris) which takes 2-4 weeks and opted for the ACRO procedure (repairing cartilage rather than remove). It has a better long-term prognosis for his career and performance. I'm cautiously optimistic he'll be our guy by week 8.

I'm not worried. Outside if practice time for Dixon, this isn't really a hindrance. It's a 6-8 week recovery time. As of now, we're about 6 weeks from week 1 AND he has a 4 week suspension. The only question is how quickly he gets back up to speed.

If I'm not mistaken he must serve that suspension as soon as he is healthy. I guess there is an outside chance he can be "cleared" with 4 weeks to go in the season and serve it out then if they have a IR designated to return spot remaining, but I doubt it.

This bites for my dynasty team. Jordon Howard is no longer available.

It's being reported he can serve his suspension while injured/on IR. He just won't get paid during the suspension like he would if he was just injured
