Id love to see UCF play Bama... just for kicks.
give me bama and bet the farm!
Joe-I never heard of any of what you posted. That was all very interesting. I thought UCF was just having a parade and getting a banner to be spiteful and petty. I didn't know they had a NCAA legitimate claim to a title. Solid work out of you sir. A++
Well.... they claimed all that before Colley backed them up... lol.
That UCF moneyline would be juicy though.
I try to stay off the sports channels about it so I never heard of any of it. Colley could be my neighbor and I wouldn't know. ahahahhahaa
the 2 polls splitting was silly. I think in 1990 it was Washington and Colorado as co-Champs and in 1997-Penn St and Michigan. Ugh.
Alabama if they wanted to can claim a championship for last year. They finished ahead of Clemson despite losing to them in the CFP Final.
That being said, when you actually get to play in and lose the CFP that is when claiming it is truly silly. UCF at least has a claim without playing in the CFP.
If UCF made the playoffs they would have got their asses kicked by Georgia, Oklahoma or Clemson. And Georgia would now be the National Champion. That is why they didn't get into the playoffs, but they deserved it over Alabama.
Washington State QB Tyler Hilinski found dead of apparent suicide
Tyler Hilinski, 21, has died of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head, Pullman Police confirmed in a press release Tuesday night. The death of Hilinski, a redshirt sophomore quarterback for Washington State, has been ruled a suicide.
"A rifle was recovered next to Hilinski and a suicide note was found," Pullman Police said in a release. "Detectives and the Whitman County Coroner's Office are conducting a thorough investigation to confirm the suspected cause and manner of death."
Hilinski appeared in 12 games over the last two seasons, starting the 2017 Holiday Bowl for the Cougars. He was expected to replace Luke Falk as the team's starter in 2018.
I heard rumours about this earlier in the day but I couldn't believe any sources. My best WSU source even removed his post about it in case it was false.
^^^^SAD. Kid had his whole life ahead of him.
Let us take away 21 victories from Notre Dame football including 12 from 2012. University President Fr. (which I believe stands for Fuckin' retarded) John Jenkins criticized the ruling. He called the ruling unfair. If you have people taking tests for athletes to satisfy academic requirements, wtf do you expect. Should have given them a SUV's and tattoos also.
didn't see this, but it was more than 1 incident and more than 1 player. even as a lifelong ND fan, this is unacceptable. This is the same shit John Calipari was doing at Memphis. Throw the book at ND!
the NCAA Sanctions book. Loss of wins, loss of scholarships or bowl games etc. Book, hammer, penalty wheel of the NCAA - throw something at them !
They are a catholic school. Throw the Bible at them.
those dopes would plagiarize that in a classroom if they had too.
The $5,000 dollar fine was laughable.
terrible. hit them harder. I'm more shocked Kelly kept his job as this happened to multiple student athletes under his tenure.
