|Team:||New Orleans Saints|
If you’re making a list of ideal spots for rookie wide receivers, for fantasy purposes, the New Orleans Saints would undoubtedly be somewhere in the top 10. In a pass oriented offense with one of the leagues premier quarterbacks, Michael Thomas will get a chance to make an immediate impact.
Names like Corey Coleman, Will Fuller and Josh Doctson will receive the majority of fantasy pre-draft chatter but if you follow our NFL draft rankings and player profiles you will know that we expect big things from former Ohio State wide receiver Michael Thomas. Possessing solid athleticism and perhaps the best hands in the draft, Thomas will get an opportunity to make an immediate impact for the Saints.
I consider Michael Thomas a high value, low price target beginning in the 11th round of re-draft leagues and an unquestioned top 5 pick in dynasty leagues.

Original Scouting Report:
After going back through all the information I’ve compiled on wide receivers for the 2016 NFL draft I still come back to the same conclusion, Michael Thomas of Ohio State is the #1 prospect at his position in this class.
Michael’s field speed translates in his measurables indicating his ability to separate from defenders is a combination of his precise route running and his athleticism. These qualities must go hand in hand in order for a college wideout to make the jump to the next level. He possesses solid snatch and catch ability as evidenced in his constant effort to catch the ball clean and away from his body. Michael is strong enough to body his way through defenders and he has the ability to make the difficult catch in traffic. He is an every down, hard worker that is an asset in the running game.
Michael Thomas is the rare type of receiver that can excel in the vertical, intermediate and short area passing game. I expect Michael to have great success at the next level.
